"Victor came right away to give an estimate which was very reasonable , he worked all day in the way to get my roof repaired . He cleaned up water inside my house where roof was leaking , he went above and beyond what I expected. He took time to explain step by step , very professional and friendly! Iâ d hire him again in a minute for any home repair! Very happy with the repair and his hard work even in the rain , Cindy Rawls"

"Very good job. Peeling paint and other defects to surface were repaired as necessary. Previous color was matched exactly. Two coats were applied: primer and top coat. No damage to nearby bushes."

Customers say: Terrific value

"I would not recommend this painting company based on my experience. Several sections of siding that needed repair were left untouched, and after the job was finished, there were nails and scraps of siding scattered throughout the yard. The paint coverage was poor?you can still see some of the old color showing through. It looks like the surface wasn?t properly prepped or power washed before painting. Another issue is that the owner doesn?t have his own crew; he subcontracts the work to others but still adds his own markup. He only came by to do an initial coat and to collect payments. One of our roof vents was also damaged during the project, but they claimed it was already like that. Overall, this was a disappointing experience, and I?d encourage others to explore different painters before hiring this company."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Powhatan, VA

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
