"Arrived on schedule. Went through the elimination process and determined problem was in the line to the pump or the pump itself (no water pressure). The service rep explained everything so that I understood fully what was going to happen. The pipe to the well motor was pulled up and a nickel sized hole was found in the pipe about 10 feet from the pump. The pipeline was galvanized metal and was very rusty. More holes were sure to develop; so, I had the whole line replaced. We also found the pump was 30 plus years old so, I had that replaced too. The service rep kept me informed through the entire installation process; as well as what to do after everything was completed. The pump had to be flushed with chlorine so, there is a short waiting process, tap flushing proceedure and water testing that he explained before leaving."

"We have used Cardinal for our HVAC and plumbing maintenance and replacement needs for more than several years now, and their technicians are professional AND personable -- we especially like Tyler (HVAC) and Brandon (Plumbing). Plus, Cardinal's occasional service specials and coupons make using them cost-efficient. My only suggestion is that a service window (say, two or four hours) is provided for scheduled non-emergency appointments, so that I'm able to make other appointments for the day."

"Bruce C Our well pump was having pressure problems, so we called Wells to check it out. After a thorough inspection, the bad news was that the pump was wearing out. It was 14 years old and servicing three families, so with Wisconsin winters and below zero temperatures, plus Christmas approaching, we knew it was time. Wells provided a detailed estimate for the new pump and recommended parts that should be replaced. We scheduled the service, though we had to wait about a week due to heavy snow and sub-zero temperatures. The weather finally warmed above zero the morning they arrived at 7 AM to start the work. Mike explained everything he was going to do before getting started. He was very knowledgeable and patient, answering all of my questions clearly. The crew worked all day, and we had water flowing again by 2 PM. Highly recommend Wells."

"After a Home Inspection to sell our cattle ranch it came to light that the functioning well had serious code issues. Dean was great to work with. He helped us understand that a $10,000. new well was not our best option and abandoing the pit ($3,500 estimate) would make all parties happy. His Inspection was honest, straight forward and clear. <br /> While on the property for the Inspection, he also handled minor code items for the Septic System (cap a vent and chain lock a manhole cover) to help check off ourTo-Do List. He made time in his busy schedule to accomodate our closing date. He is great to work with. <br />"

"Chris explained the process. We appreciate that he suggested the best option and didn't try to sell us something we didn't need. Scott did a great job with the install. He was on time and out in less time than was allowed. He cleaned up everything. The new system works great. We paid more, but the Kinetico system was the best reviewed in our research."

"He did an excellent job. I called him on Sunday night and he came on Monday morning. I was trying to do it myself, but it had corroded itself so I could get it out. I already had the replacement so he put it in for me. It hasn't leaked so far. He charged me for an hour and a half and he was working on it for all of it, it was probably close to 2 hours that he was here altogether."

"We met with the estimator/salesman Kevin who inspected the entire area, performed measurements and then reviewed the cost proposal in detail with us. He was very knowledgeable and thorough, explaining the process in layman's terms so we had a good understanding of what was needed and why. It was nice to get an idea of the cost right away instead of waiting days/weeks for an estimate. We secured estimates from other contractors and we decided on Tri-State due to the overall cost, professionalism and good reviews/references. Tri-State was able to schedule the job within a couple weeks. They provided us great preparation information so our basement would be ready for them to begin the work without delay. The crew worked over a two day period, keeping dust/mess to a minimum. All team members were professional and worked hard during the process. Clean up of the basement, staircase and outside area was excellent and additional instructions were given to us upon their departure. We have had several good rains since install and have had no water/wetness in the basement. Will edit the review accordingly to let members know how the system worked after a year or so."

"The estimate, actually a bid, was provided via e-mail the day after the estimator looked at the job. The job was re-bid after we selected a quieter model for the outdoor a/c unit. All this was done quickly and cordially and the bids were all supplied via e-mail, a great time-saver. <br /> <br /> The installers from Pharo arrived on the specified day and went immediately to work. Both were friendly and willilng to answer questions occasionally during the day. The system was complete, tested and running by mid-afternoon. Left-over parts and packing were removed completely and the old furnace, a/c unit and other replaced components were taken away as well. <br /> <br /> Generally we were very pleased with the job and the performance of the company.  After installation, I discovered that one of the panels on the outdoor a/c unit was dented.  A call to Pharo resulted in a visit by a technician the next day and the promise of a replacement part.  We also got a follow-up call from Pharo reiterating the promise of a new part.  No quibbles, no arguements. <br /> <br /> I downgraded the quality of the work a little in that vinyl electrical tape was used in a couple of places to bundle a control cable and refrigeration tubing in a couple of places and the foam insulation around one of the copper tubes was torn a little when the tubing was pulled through the exterior wall of the house.  The tape will have to be replaced in a few years as the adhesive will degrade. The cover on the electrical master switch/fuse box on the side of the furnace was installed upside-down. These are all very minor quibbles and easily rectified.  I did not ask the company to fix them.  I also admit to being a bit of a perfectionist, so probably for most customers they would be non-issues.  None of the above affected the operation of the furnace or a/c unit. <br /> <br /> As for the "B" grade for price, I have to admit that this is very expensive equipment and we wanted a near-top-of-the-line system.  As mentioned above, Pharo was willing to ensure we took advantage of all the discounts and rebates available.  We got an invoice a few days following installation and Pharo accepted my credit card over the phone in payment. <br />"

FAQs for sump pump repair or replace projects in Poynette, WI

Sump pumps last about 10 years with proper maintenance and prompt repairs. Several factors can influence your sump pump’s lifespan, such as usage, environmental conditions, and installation. Premium sump pumps with heavy-duty motors and quality components tend to last longer than lower-cost models. Pedestal sump pumps usually last longer than submersible models since they’re not constantly exposed to water.

A basement French drain is a drainage system installed in basements or around a building’s foundation to redirect water and prevent flooding. This system features a trench with a perforated pipe that catches and transports water away. These systems can crack, freeze, or clog, potentially resulting in flooding or strain on your sump pump.

You can use a sump pump in your yard to minimize pooling water and landscape damage, but it’s best used in conjunction with other drainage systems. This can include French drains, trench drains, underground downspouts, and other equipment. Proper lawn care, such as soil aeration and native plants, also aids with drainage.
