As we were replacing a clay tile roof with asphalt shingles, Eugene & team did a great job covering up some of the tan lines the old tile roof left on our paint. The reason for the quality ding: There was an issue with air flow to the roof we discovered years later and Eugene has been very responsive to help get the roof air flow dialed in appropriately. "I am completely happy with the new roof. I found a list of shortcuts on the web that some roofers use and Stout did not do any of them. We requested four bids and Jake was the first to respond. All bids were close in price and about four weeks out. When we decided on Stout, Jake said they had an unexpected opening and could start the next day. The next day, a shingle supplier showed up at 8:00 sharp. Just as the supplier started packing up, a recycling-dumpster truck arrived. When that truck left, three roofers were on site and ready to go. As they were working, I emailed questions to Jake and he responded the next morning. The second day was cut short by rain, but the roofers sealed everything and there were no leaks. After they finished on the third day, I climbed on the roof and carefully inspected every detail. I found one shingle with a small tear that probably would not cause any problems. But I told Jake and his crew was back the next morning and replaced the shingle. All work appears to be very good quality."
