"We just bought a small second home in Billerica and furnished it from scratch.  This resulted in way more cardboard and other trash than we were warm and fuzzy about breaking down, cutting to the required size and tied bundle height specified for curbside pickup; we also had miscellaneous paint and other items added to the pile.  I found Steve on Angie's List and called him.  He was prompt and courteous in all communications, arrived on the day promised to give us an estimate and stuck to his word when he performed the work on the promised date.  This is important because we did advise that we still had several more boxes and items to add to what he was viewing for the estimate -- we were able to give him an approximate report of what else would be added and we didn't exceed what we told him, likewise he didn't add to his original estimate.  He is very careful in his work, is neat and quick and friendly.  We are VERY pleased and will use him again.  We will also recommend him to anyone who can use his multi-faceted services."

For the walkway, Sam even made an asphalt patch to the city sidewalk where the two met. Sam and his team were on time, worked neatly, cleaned up after the work was done. "The crew left behind to do the actual work did a fantastic job. Work was performed quickly and the site was left in better condition than when they arrived. The problem came when the "boss" came back to collect payment. Although his website says he takes credit cards, he refused to take ours. He said since he needed to come "all the way out here" he didn't want to pay the 3% merchant fee. It's not like he didn't know where the house was when he came by for the estimate... In the end, my wife gave him a check, which I needed cover first thing the next day so as to avoid bounce fees. (sorry -- I don't keep an extra few grand in our household checking account...) He also refused to honor his on-line Angie's List 5% coupon - presumably for the same reasons. At one point he tried to persuade my wife to have the driveway sealed -- since they were there already... I wonder if his attitude may have been different is we had gone for his attempt to up sell those additional services? All in all even though the job was well done, I will not reward such low ethics with repeat business."
