Basement Wizard employees were on time and very friendly. Since these employees were not involved in the original inspection and job estimate I showed them the two areas that needed to be repaired and described the problem.  I also pointed out how important it would be to control the dust which I knew would be created during the repair.  I was assured that the area would be enclosed and air cleaners would be used to control the dust.  Upon completion of the repair I was shocked to find that my entire basement was filled with a dust cloud.  Everything in the basement was covered in a layer of fine powder.  I contacted the original estimator (employee) who offered to have the crew return and clean my basement.  I told him that I had no confidence that they would perform an adequate job and I would perform the cleanup myself.  A couple of weeks later after a heavy rain event one of the "repaired" cracks leaked just as it did before the repair.  A second crew (which included a foreman) was dispatched to preform a second repair attempt.  The second crew did a much more professional job and their repair appears to have stopped the leak so far.  My disappointment with Basement Wizard is not with the fact that it took two attempts to complete the repair.  My issue is that I was assured by the original estimator and the repair crew that they would control the dirt and dust during the repair process.  They failed in this promise and I spend many hours cleaning up after them.

"Excellent quality of work and pleasant to work with. I had drywall installed, mudded, and painted in two rooms in an older house which had its own peculiar challenges. I mentioned concerns about drywall mud on the wood floors and drywall dust getting on my things (I had to move things between these rooms during the project), but no precautions were taken by the professional. In the end, I realized that drywall mud drops were on the wood floors, and more annoyingly there was quite a lot of dust covering some of my things. The only negative part of this review is because I mentioned it early on and it could have been easily prevented by using a tarp or taping a temporary plastic barrier in the doorway while sanding the drywall mud to contain the dust. Overall, while the messiness management was a bit lacking, the work quality was great, and I would hire them again."

"i needed various installs and minor fixes:  toilet seat, bathroom cabinet, broom and mop organizers, a few window blinds put, and a couple of beds put together.  i purchased the daily deal of four hours handyman service for $99.  i opted for 2 guys 2 hours and it worked out great!  They were professional, on-time, and friendly and completed my list in the 2 hours purchased.
