"Here's a suggestion, based on my experience, when you plan to buy a Generac (and maybe, any brand) home generator system, make sure the local company you choose not only sells you the correct unit, but they also repair them with factory- trained technicians who regularly get updated training as well. and quot;Repairand quot; and and quot;Servicingand quot; the unit can mean different things, the latter can sometimes mean only to come out once a year and change the oil and filter, for example. Ask before you buy. <br /> Our Generac was installed by a company whose owner/installer later retired. After a number of years of good service, we began having starting problems more than a year ago. We've called three different companies--one diagnosed it two different ways (with different techs) but couldn't make it work for any long period. Two others yielded one guy who came out after dark, said he'd come back to fix it, then never showed and won't return calls. The other got us a call back from the and quot;techand quot; who said he knew how to install them and do oil changes, but not fix them. <br /> Finally, we called Countryside Electric in Columbus who dispatched and quot;DRand quot; to us the next day. Factory trained and very professional, it took him about an hour to diagnose the problem (one of the valves on the engine was too tight) and fix it. <br /> Any future repair work or when I need a new generator, I know now who to call. "Rain One just finished installing our new sprinkler system.  I have been very, very impressed with them so far.  We're in a new housing development and waiting months for the sod to be installed.  When Jeff, with Rain One, came out two months ago, he told us we'd want to get it installed between the final grading of  the yard and the installation of the sod.  Otherwise you'd have to wait for the sod to root before it could be installed--and think of all that manual watering we'd have to do in the meantime.  Jeff said they would work with us as best as they could to make sure that happened on their end.  We got absolutely no cooperation from the builders.  After almost two months of excuses on why the sod wasn't getting installed, we finally got the final grading done on a Monday with no word on when the sod would be installed.  I immediately contacted Jeff and within an hour he got back to us.  He said the guys that mark the underground utilities would come Tuesday and his crew would be here at 8 a.m. Wednesday morning and would have it done that day.  He did say he made a client grumpy by bumping her appointment, but timing was of the essence for us.  Thank you grumpy customer for letting us have your spot.  The delightful crew, headed up by Bob, arrived before 8 this morning, got busy and were done by early afternoon.  They're fluffing up of the soil and leveling was so much better than the sod crews leveling/fluffing I am much more optimistic that I may have a smoother lawn to mow should the sod ever get installed.  Thank you to Rain One for redeeming my faith in great customer service!!"
