He replaced sump pump and check valve, resealed radon cover, and then checked outside to see where sump was draining to. Finally, he tested street drainage with water from the hose. I was very happy with Amanda Plumbing and would use them again, and was happy with Austin's work. I may use in the spring to downspout and drain cleaning. My usual plumber would have only replaced the sump, but would not do drain checking. Amanda is more of a full service plumber, since they handle plumbing, drains, and sewers"

We met with Justin from Wells Septic.  He and his assistants took a look at the area of concern, trying to assess the possible reasons that might be causing this area to stay muddy.  They were the second set of eyes to look at the area, because we first had our irrigation system company see if it was caused by a leak.  Irrigation leaks were ruled out.  

Jason and Sebastian looked in the downspouts with special equipment, pulled back the sod, prodded with iron rods and checked the water meter to make sure something wasn't  causing the water to run.  We live on a spring-fed lake, so we thought perhaps the water had found its way a little further into the property.

Jason mentioned that they had previously had a customer with a wet area in the yard that appeared right behind their deck.  They could not determine the source of the water there either.  They had resolved that issue by installing a French drain.  So,  we decided that would be the first attempt at a solution to get this area dry.  

Jason and Sebastian and another employee hand dug the area about two feet down in the shape of a T.  They surrounded the specialized pipe with gravel and replaced as much sod as they could.  At the time, the sod was very wet and heavy.  It was very likely difficult to handle, so they covered the area the best they could.  A couple of weeks later, they returned to reshape the area better once the ground had dried out. 

As I write, the area is not only dry, but it is ready for our commercial mower to continue to take care of the yard without fear of losing his equipment in the bog!   

Wells Septic was very responsive and we appreciate they were experienced and able to solve the problem.  We would certainly call them again and would recommend them for similar work.

He clearly went over the options and pricing for replacing the valves vs a new hot water tank vs a tankless system. "My main sewer line was backed up (standing water) which meant I qualified for the 1 pass with small spade adapter at end of snake and only go 75ft out in my line. ( if my clog was 100ft too bad for me and would be $420). If you have clog and standing water you get one pass up to 75ft with no root cutting blade. First time customer that one pass cost $93 and hopefully it’ll unclog your line. ( it did for me ! Ya! ). If not then starts the real bleeding $$$$. I’m must of been under a rock for last 20 years but close to $500 to snake your sewer line is outrageous! So if you have loads of money and money isn’t a factor? They were professional and got the job done same day, if you are tight on cash I’d look elsewhere! That’s why they won’t quote any kind of price over the phone because they’d never get their foot in the door. Good luck and good flushing."

"Heath and his crew carefully excavated around the area of the suspected blockage or break and found that the original drain line had not been properly connected when it was originally installed and had caused the four-inch plastic drain line to become clogged with mud and stop working. Heath connected the four-inch drain line as it should have been connected when it was originally installed. He connected the drain line from the house and the existing clean-out pipe to the existing drain line with a 45 degree elbow.
Before I called Eand B Wooley, I had started to install a collection sump box where the four-inch line connects to the six-inch farmer's tile drain line. Heath connected the lower end of the green four-inch PVC drain line to the six-inch farmer's tile drain line and my collection sump box with another 45 degree elbow to complete the installation. He tested the connection and the water flow to make certain the line was draining properly before filling in the area he had excavated. After confirming that the drain lines were working, he carefully filled in the areas of excavation and leveled the ground to make certain damage to the surrounding grass was minimized.
I was completely impressed by the professional work Heath and his crew accomplished to isolate, identify and correct the problem of the original installation. Heath's services were very cost-effective. While the results of the new installation haven't been tested by a heavy rain and high ground water, I'm confident the system will work better than originally installed.
