"I recommended LOPCO to a coworker before they had finished painting my house- that's how good the experience was. When getting estimates, I had some nightmare contractors I had met with before I found LOPCO on Angie's list. I wasn't getting return phone calls; quotes were coming in very unprofessionally; and when giving the look-over, others missed major repairs. LOPCO was a night-and-day difference experience. Tom was very thorough in his assessment of the house. The quote page was detailed (6 pages long!) with specific outlines on all work to be done so there was no guessing as to what was and wasn't included. LOPCO included a 2 year warranty on all the work so I also had the piece of mind that I would be covered if a problem arose later. There was never any guessing as to when the crew would be at my house-- Tom from LOPCO kept in touch with me on an almost daily basis. The communication level was excellent, and if I did have a question he would return my call or email within the same day. The crew on site was very professional-- no paint splotches on my grass, shrubs or fence; no cleaning anything up; no random nails in the grass. They also left me the extra paint and the paint name/brand information in case a future touch-up is needed. The house looks brand new. Overall it was a very pleasant experience to work with LOPCO. I would recommend them to anyone and I will use them again for a future house project. It was great to find a contractor I don't have to worry about-- you could see the job getting done right throughout the process."

"Jason Lopes very responsive to requests from the beginning. Returned our calls/texts promptly. Made an appointment to assess job and arrived exactly when he said he would. From initial assessment to finished project (and that included researching for matching materials) everything was done professionally. Jason kept us informed on the progress of procuring materials and the status of the project on a regular basis. Actual repair work was done by the team quickly and efficiently. The house looks great! "The work was performed to our satisfaction. We encountered a minor problem. A porch gutter was  bent during the installation. When brought to Ken"s attention it was corrected immediately and a new gutter was installed. An area of concern, was that after they started  the job, we were informed that the roof deck had to be covered over with plywood. This increased the cost of the installation by $3500. The initial quote was for $11200, hence a total cost of $14700. The reason this was a concern, was due to the fact that the house next door, which is the same construction and built at the same time as ours, had been reroofed three weeks prior to ours. They did not require a plywood install. I don't know if this was needed or not and probably will never know. The reason I question the need, is due to the fact that Ken Luther had installed the prior roof thirty something years ago, without the plywood, and we never had a problem. In fact, we did not replace the shingles  because we had a problem, but due to the age of the roof, we felt replacement was the prudent thing to do. I mention this so that others will be aware of the possibility and I feel this needs to be a discussion prior to signing.
