"I called Gwin's Gutter services to provide an estimate for repairing one section of gutter that fell down during the ice storms of the late winter/early spring. I also called two other companies in order to comparison shop. Kevin arrived at the time we set and was very professional and personable. Like the other companies, he offered to repair the section, but also suggested that the house could benefit from new gutters as the existing ones were the vinyl-DIY type. I was leaning toward this path anyway, and asked for an estimate. His estimate was on par with the others I received, except that it did not offer the gutter protection for the entire house. When I mentioned this, he was quick to match their cost. Because he seemed honest and personable, I went with him. We agreed to replace all the gutters, install rhino-guard, and reroute some of the downspouts.
We scheduled a time for two weeks out to accommodate his work schedule, which was fine with me. The first time fell through, and I was unable to be at home when the work was performed on the second scheduled time. The gutters looked great, but I had some concerns with the job. First, the old gutters were left in a pile in my back yard. Second, the downspouts did not connect to the terra cotta pipes, so the water dumped right next to the foundation. Third, one of the downspouts was not re-routed. And fourth, the holes where the previous downspouts passed through a slate awning on the first floor were left exposed. 
I called Kevin, and he was quick to apologize and offer to come over and fix the problems. Apparently his employee quit immediately after finishing my job. Due to other obligations, it took about three weeks of scheduling and two visits for the job to be finished. I still am in the process of cleaning the wood siding where the ladder left scuff marks and painting the exposed wood from where the old downspout mounting hardware was removed.
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the gutters. Kevin is a personable and honest person, who may just be stretched a little thin with work obligations. I am not thrilled about having to wash, scrape, and paint a little on the house - but we didn't agree to that so I don't hold him responsible.

"I discovered Rodney Booth's business on one of Angie's Big Deals for gutter cleaning and repair for $149.  His reviews were very positive so I decided to purchase the Big Deal.  Rodney phoned within minutes of the purchase and scheduled to come out to clean the gutters that week.  He and his associate, Tim, were punctual, professional and did a great job.  I asked if he would return to install the gutter guards I ordered from Home Depot and he gave me a very reasonable price of $150 for that installation.  He followed up to schedule a day the following week to install the guards.  I mentioned that one of the gutter seams still leaked which was easy to miss when they were on the roof.  Rodney and Tim returned and fixed the leak in the gutter seam, checked to ensure the leak was sealed, and then installed the guards on one of those days when the temp hit triple digits!  I was very pleased with their work and exceptional responsiveness.  I would hire Rodney Booth again."

"In 2008, the supposedly reputable installers of my Dog-Ear privacy fence decided to cut corners while I was at work.  They did not pour in the adequate amount of concrete and they used smooth-shank nails rather than screws.  Over time, sections of the fence began to bow and the nails began to back out.  I was not happy.  Kevin and Eugene came to the rescue.  They arrived fully prepared and systematically assembled all necessary equipment, materials, and tools in the backyard.  Methodically, they then went through the painstaking process of replacing posts, digging around posts, mixing and pouring in new concrete, and securing the fence with 3 inch screws.  Resourcefully, they transferred the dug-out dirt to low-lying areas of the yard.  They used a rope to help align the fence and braces to secure certain sections of the fence as the concrete dried.  I feel confident that the repaired fence has more strength and stability as a result of these wise and common-sense measures that were taken by Kevin and Eugene.  As always, they cleaned up when they finished the job.  I am very thankful for them.
