"Replacing a roof is not cheap - and it’s not exactly the most fun thing to throw a lot of money at (versus, say, a new bathroom) . AEM (Kevin B. in particular) made this not only painless, but even pleasant. We got three bids - Kevin B. from AEM was the only one that bothered to actually visit our house, meet with us and explain the process. The other bids were just emailed in, apparently using some imaging system that let them measure our rooftop. AEMs bid was not the cheapest of the three, but it was absolutely competitive with the other two - and, because of Kevin’s walking us through the process, we felt much more comfortable having them do the project. Communication as we were getting closer to the day was very good (I work at home - so I knew I’d have to take the day off given the noise). There were a few unavoidable weather delays - Kevin always kept me informed. On the actual day, the team was here early - as was Kevin - and the whole process was done in a day. Something really cool - they had to get into our yard through our neighbor’s back yard (with his permission, of course!) - as a gesture, they raked his leaves! They also cleaned our gutters while they were up there doing the roof. After the fact, the cleanup was perfect - our back yard was spotless! Kevin and his colleague also did some great work repairing our soffits. Anyhow - I don’t think we can recommend AEM highly enough - they care for their customers - and made this as painless as possible. We are very happy with the results. Thanks Kevin and team!"

"Watch out, different employees have us very different estimates. One was honest and one tried to way overprice our roofing project. Also during the installation they tried to skip replacing plywood as we’d agreed upon without discussing with us first. Luckily my husband was home and caught the mistake. There were definitely some good things too, the knowledge and quality of materials was excellent. They got our entire project done in one day and worked very hard."

"Signed contract on May 8 for deck build.On May 12 rep came to my office to collect deposit of apprx $13,000. He said project team meeting on Wed & would update me then on start date etc. On Fri May 16 I had to reach out to him. He wrote the team had met & materials were ordered. An hour later he wrote back that he was misinformed & that his boss was going to call me next week. Despite this, dep check cashed. On Mon 5. 20 rep wrote back that they had forgotten certain costs & to proceed it would be $8,000 more. Not a typo. $8,000 more. No apology. Ridiculous, contract rescinded. I wrote that he could return my deposit at my office just as he had collected it. On Wednesday the 21st I got a text from "Tom," presumably the owner/boss, saying he would "drop a check in the mail" to my address. Today is May 30th, Friday, and still no check. Check at a minimum should have been overnighted. They owe me interest not to mention the deposit to hire a contractor who will honor contract. Bad."

Jonathan and Andrew spent a lot of time talking with us about ventilation, snow dams, shingles, chimneys, gutters…I could go on. But they made sure we understood the project, and could make informed decisions about it. They love what they do, and it shows. Competence! They know their stuff. They were well-prepared. They shared realistic timelines. They used great materials. (Our Owen Corning shingles look so gooood!) At all times, they showed skill and enthusiasm for our roofing job. And one more big reason to love them?! Care! Big home repairs are a vulnerable moment, but Mighty Dog took the fear out of the process. They communicated generously. They showed up for the install with an amazing team. They spoke with neighbors on our crowded street to make sure that no one was inconvenienced by vehicles or errant nails.
