" Without a doubt, I have NEVER dealt with a more honest, up front and professional electrician! They stayed in constant communication, stayed within my budget, punctual and were very willing to work within my time constraints. Best of all you may ask? I had other quotes that were jaw dropping and absurd. These pros told me that the work that I needed, was not what the competition was trying to ask me to pay for. I can say without contestation, that this is the most honest electrician (any contractor for that matter) has been! KUDOS and grateful for there are still some honest people out there. If there were TEN stars, they would have earned them! To quote the late Gene Wilder in the movie-Charlie and the Chocolate Factory… “So shines a good deed, in this weary world.” "

"Antonio was great. I had 2 ceiling fans installed on a 15 foot high pitched ceiling. The fans I purchased were meant for a ceiling with a much smaller pitch so they were not able hang straight as is. I thought I would have to wait and buy some additional hardware to complete the job but Antonio clearly communicated with me to show me why they wouldn’t work and talked me through a few ideas he wanted to try to make it work. It took a bit more time but in the end he was able to make some cuts and holes to the fans and they worked out great in the end. He saved me some time and money so I was happy to leave him with a tip. "

Customers say: Quick response

"Dale did an amazing job in incredibly trying circumstances. We were a few days out from a significant ice storm, and he had trouble getting to our house because of the road conditions. After an experience that would have turned many people around. He made it to the house and did a fantastic and professional job. I would nighly recommend Dale and Crest Electric!"

"Mike is my go to electrician. A true professional Once again I was in a bind and he worked me into his busy schedule last minute. I'm doing a major interior renovation that exposed electrical issues that needed to be addressed before the project could move forward. Mike came immediately and worked all day on on a Saturday to update outlets, light switches and wiring issues to get everything up to code before The contractors begin putting up drywall. Mike is A1 in my book "

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Queenstown, MD

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
