Small jobs welcome

"We had tree damage from Hurricane Michael. We had several different opinions on the damage and Lawrence from T5 was the only positive one. We were so discouraged from past companies and after meeting with Lawrence on the initial damage inspection we were left feeling very happy. He walked us through what was going to happen and got the job done very quickly. He and his crews are punctual and do quality work. I can without a doubt say that all of our future business is going to be with T5!"

"Kyle does a walk through with you every morning and evening to discuss what's happening and to show you what's done. At any time, you can show him if you are not satisfied and he will 100% fix it to your satisfaction. He is a professional roofer with 26 years of experience and he's a very friendly guy. He is one of the most honest people you will meet. Kyle is also a perfectionist and keeps a very close eye on his crew and gets on the roof with them and works as hard as they do if not harder. His crew is very professional also and no one goes without a shirt on the job site nor is cursing allowed. He also brings a porta potty to the job site and removes it when they finish. They are very thorough and lay down material to catch the debris and nails. When the job is complete, they even do several trips around the job site using a magnet to find nails. He also brings a porta potty to the job site and removes it when they finish. Trust me you get what you pay for!"

"Griff came out and went over the details of the job with me. He measured square footage, checked the slope of the land, explained the process, including explaining the moisture shield and wire reinforcement. He asked how and where I wanted the equipment trucks and cement truck to go. He made sure I knew exactly what to expect. He and his crew arrived on time each day. They came out after the cement had hardened and cleaned up everything perfectly. He asked if I had someplace I wanted them to put the little pieces of concrete or if I wanted him to take the concrete. I have a runoff ravine and he purposefully placed them where they would do the most good. They raked the dirt neatly around the slab and put the grass plugs in the dirt. The grass is already being established. I highly recommend Griff's Concrete. In fact we are hiring him again to put in front sidewalks and a little patio. You might find somebody who says they will do it cheaper but it won't be better. <br />"

"We had Helicon out to do a 3-step repair process on our seawall. Rey and Ajay did an exceptional job. Their customer service and attention to detail were top notch. Thank you, Helicon, Rey and Ajay for a job well done!"

"I was more than pleased with the work performed by Valencia Concrete. They exceeded my expectation—ahead of time and within budget! We needed an addition to our backyard for our gazebo. The work was professionally done and went the extra mile to ensure a quality result. They also gave me excellent instruction on how to care for the concrete. Furthermore, they gave me a suggestion on the location which added real beauty to the back and side of the house. When I need concrete work in the future, I know that I will for sure contact Valencia Concrete again!.""

"I couldn’t be more happy with the process and the results!! Working with Jake and Parkstone Construction was unlike any other contractor experience I have ever had. He was very kind, a clear communicator, and a man of his word. Seems like it should be a given, but that hasn’t been the case in the past with other contractors we have hired (just getting those previous guys to show up when they said they would was enough to drive me crazy)! I am now thrilled every time I drive up to our house. The quality of the materials, the workmanship, and the end result are all just incredible. We will absolutely be calling Parkstone every time we need help with anything even remotely related to construction."

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Quitman, GA

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
