I contacted him again in April 2020 after I removed multiple spruce trees from my property line. I told him exactly what I wanted. After giving me his expert advice, he installed a vinyl fence and a chain-link gate with white slates that are better than I expected. My family and I have been in our yard every day since the project was completed. It took about 4 days to complete and everything Chris said he would do he did. The weather was cold, John had to scour the countryside for materials, his team worked late days and weekends and got the job done on time. "We are undertaking an extensive exterior renovation of our c.1927 Tudor Revival and badly needed masonry restoration represented Phase I.
This was our first experience with a provider found on Angie's List and we were very pleased. I received a very prompt response to my initial request for an estimate and in comparison to other quotes we obtained, A O Handy was most in line with the extent of restoration we felt necessary as well as within our budget.
The work began within a few days of our having signed the contract and continued daily until completion. I was especially impressed with the crew's punctuality and how respectful they were of the jobsite. They tidied up  the work area everyday before they left.
I was also impressed by how well they were able to match the color of the new mortar to that contained within the existing grout lines. They also cleaned up the unsightly repairs where the previous homeowner had attempted to repoint sections of the brickwork himself years ago.
In summary, if you're looking for quality, old world craftmanship, I would strongly recommend AO Handy. It truly was a pleasure dealing with Andy, his son Arthur and the rest of the crew.

"Let me start by saying I recommend and will use Zimmerlee in the future. They were not the lowest bid, but provided the most comprehensive work description in the bid.
Every construction job will have unforeseen items crop up, sometimes in the favor of the people paying the bill, but more often there are additional costs involved. This was no exception,
As the tear off was proceeding, the gutters fell of because the fascia board that was there was to narrow and too thin, so there was nothing for the gutters to hold on to during the tear off. Of course that lead to installing fascia board, gutters, and soffit because of the low price some one else paid years ago.
The additional cost was very reasonable, considering I had no choice but to have the additional work done.When it's all said and done Zimmerlee was not the lowest bid, I tend to shy away from the low bids because "you get what you pay for".  But what was most important is that I got more than what I paid for.  We have had unusual and extremely heavy rains and winds since the work was completed, I have not had a single issue with the work not holding up. I am very satisfied with the price I paid because Zimmerlee did such a good job the first time, there was no need for any warranty work to be performed. That is a bargain in my book."
