"Rich and Chad came out to my parents home and during the inspection discovered there had been a chimney fire in both chimney's at some point and they were unsafe to use in that condition. They carefully showed us the camera images and explained what everything was to my elderly parents. They suggested we contact our home insurance provider and said they would provide the information to submit. The estimate was very detailed, including photos and brochures about chimney safety and I submitted the information. State Farm immediately agreed to cover the damage and a crew from Jiminy Chimney came out and completed the work in horrible cold conditions because my Dad wanted to have a fire in the fireplace for Christmas. I could appreciate the guys at Jiminy Chimney more and have nothing but good things to say! Thanks so much, my parents enjoyed lovely fires all winter."

"My experience was first rate all the way. The bad news was the repair work I needed was extensive. 100 year old house with original mortar in the chimney that had been damaged and needed to be removed and relined. Nick, the technician who worked on the project was excellent - communicated well and answered my questions. He and the assistant with him worked hard in difficult weather conditions, up and down the ladder to the roof and hauling heavy loads. The work was done with amazingly little dust inside and everything was cleaned up after so you'd never know major work had been done. Highly recommend Lindemann and Nick in particular for the expertise, professionalism and a great job."

"We split our project into two separate projects and Butler Chimney's did a great job with both parts! Last year they replaced our wood burning insert in the living room and added a chimney liner. This Summer we had them come back and re-brick the chimney exterior. Remove old brick, remove 2 old flues that were not being used any more, re brick, pour a new concrete crown, and put a new stainless steel cap over the whole thing. Everything looks great and customer service has always been top notch."

"I asked them to do a routine chimney cleaning. Even though it was during their busy season, making an appointment was quick and easy with the friendly phone staff.The technicians were right on time, had good communication skills, and conducted themselves professionally. They did a complimentary safety check and found that my chimney crown was cracked and leaking. I appreciated this very much as addressing this problem now will save me greater expense and repairs in the long run. I only have 2 minor complaints. One was that the newly trained technician saw what he thought might have been a installation mistake and spoke to me about his concern before he checked with his boss - it was not a problem, but I had already become a quite concerned about it. Also I had to do some clean up on the hearth exterior - they left soot on it. But, overall I was very pleased with them!"

"I have a double fireplace chimney which has been leaking <br /> water down the chimney portion in the garage during heavy rainfall for years, <br /> and the exterior brick was slowly crumbling at the top around the crown.   I just <br /> had a roof job done where the roofers seriously botched the lower flashing <br /> installation on the garage roof.  When <br /> they fixed the flashing I did not know for sure how much of the remaining <br /> leakage was still the flashing or chimney, so I had the chimney work done.  I got three quotes, and Wisconsin Chimney <br /> Technicians was the most professional and their quote was competitive.   I didn?t <br /> like the solution one company proposed to fix the leakage (rebuild the crown <br /> instead of installing a new cap, at the same cost with a few other things), and <br /> the other was so busy they could only come when I wasn't home and didn't <br /> address all my concerns in the proposal, didn't even look at the furnace <br /> chimney.  Jim did the quote and I believe <br /> Tony did the work.  I did not meet Tony <br /> but Jim seemed very knowledgeable and polite; he recommended a cap to bring the <br /> chimney up to code and stop the deterioration of the brick.  I signed the contract on June 11 and they did <br /> the work on July 14, about when they promised.  <br /> It was one day of work.  I have no <br /> complaints, they left the roof very clean when they were done.  I was concerned about the the broken brick being <br /> overlooked, which Jim thought was the reason for the leakage.  He did not want to replace but instead seal <br /> the brick because it was bonded to the flashing.  However they were communicating well (unlike <br /> the roofers) and the brick and all other issues were fixed by Tony without my <br /> intervention.  After the work was done I <br /> verified the chimney was water tight, as well as the flashing; now there?s no <br /> leakage into the garage at all even in heavy rainfall.  I?m very pleased with their work and the cap <br /> and new tiles look sharp.  The cost cited above was after the 5% Angie's List discount.  I give A's for cost only when there are deeper discounts."
