"Ross Carpet Care did an excellent job cleaning our carpets. He kept us informed about our upcoming appointment and showed up on time and got straight to work. Ross is a very personable guy and answered all my questions. I also asked him about cleaning tile which our house has and he was really knowledgable. I will definitely use him again and trust him with the care of our carpeting and tile. Great job! <br />"

"Robert was very helpful to me in choosing the appropriate carpet for our home, and Bobby, the installer, did a beautiful job! Robert always responded to any questions and checked in during the install. Bobby paid attention to detail and it shows! I like that he took the time to measure carefully and ensured that both the carpet and the baseboard were installed flawlessly. Bobby and his assistant were very careful moving our furniture and placed it all back after the install. Our home looks so much better now!"

"This is the 3rd time I bought the same carpets from Contract Carpet in 2013. It started with my master bedroom. The 2nd phase was for the stairs, the landing and two upstairs bedrooms. I always like to replace the carpet in my office but had reservation since I have a lot of furniture and file cabinets in the room. Marty, the owner, assured me that they could do it. He even suggested that I move my computer to a more centrally located area in the office. What a brilliant idea! His company made small area rugs from the remnant and Marty personally delivered them to me. I would highly recommend Contract Carpet to anyone interested in new carpets."

"North Park Rug and Carpet is AWESOME! <br /> I needed to carpet an unfinished staircase within 48 hours (was having a house appraisal). <br /> I called and Mike was willing to help me the same day. I went over to the showroom and explained that I have animals and I was not sure if the carpet was going to be permanent, but I still wanted something that looked good. He took into consideration all of my concerns and he suggested some things on the show floor (nice options in his showroom). <br /> Then he asked if I was open to looking at the remnant area (these are the leftover carpet pieces after an installation). We looked at what was available and he found me carpet at a fraction of the price! I had checked around and I found nothing under $900 (and that would have been lower quality carpet). Mike really thought about what I wanted and was very accommodating and friendly (Kim was helpful also!). <br /> Installation was easy and professional. Steve came to do the measuring and sent a team to do the installation. He was helpful and very nice and the install team was professional and did a great job! <br /> I am happy that I had the opportunity to support a local family owned business. I will be recommending them to anyone that needs carpet or rugs! <br /> Thank you so much. <br /> ~Rachel <br />"

"Frank has cleaned my carpets for several years. He is fastidious and always does a great job. I've had other cleaners and after a while, the spots reappear. <br /> He is the owner and has no workers. Many other companies hire and train their workers who may not as committed to doing a good. I would definitely recommend Frank. (All my friends to whom I have recommended Frank rave about him.) <br />"

"Came here after experiencing many issues with the big Home Improvement stores.  The level of professionalism, knowledge and helpfulness at Sid's was a breath of fresh air!  Jorge was our contact and made everything so easy and convenient for us. The flooring products themselves are a wonderful quality for the price we paid and the installers were great---quick, clean and professional.  Everyone showed up when they said they would.  Couldn't ask for a better experience! <br />"

"Great! Wade and his son initially came over to install some laminate flooring. While he was here I asked if he knew of anyone that cleaned carpets. He offered to do it himself which made it very convenient and saved me the trouble of finding someone else to do the cleaning. The carpet in my son’s room was filthy and it came out looking almost new. Wade was fast, efficient and best of all very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend Ground Pounders for carpet cleaning."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Rancho-bernardo, CA

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
