"I couldn’t be any more satisfied with this company or the level of service they provided. I have a small, two-car driveway and it was completely falling apart. I got three estimates and Wells Asphalt was the lowest ($2250). I had actually selected a different company to do the job at first (Ever Ready) based on their positive reviews here and their estimate not being much higher, but after several failed attempts to schedule the job (they never called back when they said they would), I decided to go with Wells. After the first scheduled date got pushed back due to a storm, they showed up promptly the next day. It was a three-man team. They showed up at 9 AM and were finished with the job by lunchtime. They were professional and answered all questions I had. And even took the time to explain maintenance of the driveway going forward. I was recommended this company by a neighbor who also had a driveway paved and was very satisfied. I will recommend them myself if asked in the future."

Foot driveway and recemented/repaired the large walk up stairs. Fixed the slope in the driveway, widened the driveway flattened out areas that brought water into the garage. "Custom Paving and seal coating came as a referral from my friend who had their driveway paved last year by them. Mike came to meet with my husband the same week I called requesting a quote. My husband felt he was honest and gave good advice on how we should proceed with our driveway since it was half paved, half mud/old leftover gravel. We decided for now just to have the muddy part of our driveway graveled (which was approximately 75 feet) and Mike and his crew got the job done within two weeks of the initial quote. The crew showed up on time and got the job done in less than four hours. Our driveway came out exactly how we expected and once we are ready to have our driveway paved we will definitely be calling Mike back as returning customers."

"Can't say enough good things about Vinny and Anchor Asphalt and Paving. They did an excellent, professional job on the repaving and even came back and did extra work. They listened to our concerns, took the time to explain everything and went out of their way to satisfy all of our needs. The road had not been paved in about 40 years, was badly rutted and had several areas of heavy ponding. Vinny even took the time to come out before starting the job so that he could view the road after a heavy rain so he would be able to see the issues in person and advise us on how to best alleviate the ponding. ""PERFECTION" I can't say enough about these guys! Precise, professional, extremely skilled..etc..I've never seen anything like it! I saw from my window how they would stop, look, measure, or fix anything they felt wasn't perfect. As they were pouring asphalt I saw a couple of the guys measure so rain water would flow away from my house and off my grass. They had to fill large grass areas where water settled on both sides of the driveway and even have it ready for new top soil. I can't say enough! They stood late at night working on the dark with all there truck lights on and lighting equipment. I ordered the guys pizza bc I appreciated all the hard work. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! To all the crew, the owners, and all the guys involved in overlooking the job. My kids have a place to play and my cars won't rust... Don't bother hiring cookie cutter pavers. "I was very impressed by this company. I had several paving companies come and quote my job with JW Smith coming last. Tom, the man in charge of my job, came to my house at the appointed time and offered me a quote. Having seen the good reviews on Angie's List, I expected a reasonable price but was surprised to see that his quote was the lowest of those I'd gotten. I accepted his quote and was emailed the certificates of insurance I requested. The previous paving job that put down the driveway I was now having removed failed prematurely because they had used much less asphalt than they should have. When I mentioned this to Tom and asked how I'd know how much he was putting down, he invited me to watch and see exactly what he was doing. I did. Tom and his crew arrived just when he said they would and began to rip out my old driveway. The next morning, they came back and finished the removal process and set up to start the paving process which lasted all the rest of the day. The job went smoothly and the depth of asphalt was just as Tom had promised. In addition, the 100 foot section of the driveway that led to the road was paved about 6" wider than it had been before. It looked like a great job. There was heavy rain the day after the paving and I noticed that water was running off the driveway near one of my garage doors into the garage. Seeing that, I took a photo or two with my cellphone and called Tom's cellphone about 6pm and left a message. He called back within 20 minutes and asked me to email him the photos, which I did. The next day, I received an email telling me that he had received the photos and that he would deal with the problem. They came late last week to address the water problem and solved it completely. Justin, Tom's brother, and his crew handled the issue. He used my garden hose to determine where the water was going and then added asphalt to make the water go where he wanted it to. After each adjustment, he ran the hose again and saw the results of what he did and added a bit more here and there to ensure that there would be no further issue. The garage is now dry and, unless you know where to look, it's nearly impossible to see the extra asphalt that Justin added. He did a great job and the driveway looks great. At the end of the job, Tom gave me the invoice and I paid him. The final amount out of my pocket was actually about $90 less than his original quote. To add credibility to this review, I wish I had a little negative thing to say about Tom, Justin and JW Paving but I don't! It all went well, I feel I was treated very respectfully and the price was very fair. Get estimates from other places and have JW Smith come by last. I think you'll be impressed."
