"I originally hired Carpet Police to clean the carpets in my house. They were the first to respond when I got on Angie's List. Somehow, Carpet Police got usurped by another company called Arizona Island. Arizona Island did a terrible job and I called Carpet Police, again, to please come and repair the bad carpet cleaning that was done. Carpet Police did as good a job as I could possible expect to fix what went wrong. Alfonso was efficient, friendly, wore his mask when he was inside and I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again."

"I have been using Randy since 2004 and have also referred him to neighbors, friends and relatives. He and his son, Tyler, make a great team. They are very hard working and conscientious, always do a great job and are pleasant and professional to deal with. I always feel like I have gotten good value for the money when they finish their work. With Randy's help we have been able to keep the same wall-to-wall carpeting in our Scottsdale home for over 22 years, and it still looks good today. I have also used him for tile and upholstery cleaning as well. He never tries to up-sell me and will always do just what I need done, even if it is just a few stairs, instead of the whole staircase. I would highly recommend Carpets by Randy for all of your cleaning needs."

"We used Travis and his team a few years ago when we put down laminate flooring. We were extremely pleased with the entire process and results, so naturally, when we bought our new home, we wanted to use them again. When it came to picking out the vinyl and carpet, Travis and Nicole were super helpful and extremely patient (trust me, I went through a LOT of samples!). Their pricing can't be beat and everything was ordered and delivered in time for installation. They referred us to John Sullivan to install the flooring and he and his partner Tyson did an amazing job and seriously could not be nicer guys. I'm in LOVE with my new floors! They were on time and respectful of our home and time. Travisreferred us to Jon Rumniz for carpet installation and we were pleased with him and his team as well! They worked quickly and efficiently. Finding dependable guys is so hard these days, so we were extra appreciative at how smoothly and pleasant the entire process went. We can not recommend these guys enough!! Thank you!"

"<br /> Jeanne helped me pick out carpeting for my office, two bedrooms and a staircase. She was great working with me and what would fit into my budget. I had the old carpet removed about a week before intstallation so we could completely sanitize floors and paint the walls of our new home. I had to push the installation date but they were very accommodating and punctual with scheduling. She came into my home to measure and was helpful with color matching. I have recommended Floorever Interiors to friends and would use them again."

"I had my living room painted and the painter got some paint (not alot) on the carpet. So, I bought the $84 deal for this cleaning service on Angie's List. On the day of my appointment the cleaner contacted me to advise that the current job he was doing was more detailed than he anticipated and he would be running behind schedule. He said he would call when he was on his way and he did. I appreciated the update as that allowed me to do what I needed to instead of wondering where he was. He was nice & professional but I'm rating a C because considering how much I paid, he couldn't get the small paint stains out of the carpet. It sucks because I bought the Angie's List deal specifically for that purpose. Other than that, the carpet looks great."

"Flooring Scoure did an outstanding job. Pricing, quality of carpeting, and installation went flawlessly. Every facet of the job went smoothly. The carpet installers did a wonderful job. Our condo was immaculate when they left. We will use them for future needs."

"The folks at Home Depot were helpful in showing me how to find the carpet that suited my needs. They did their part very efficiently. Ambassador was very professional and prompt in regards to the estimate, and in coordinating the installation. I found the 3 installers to be polite and hardworking. They were rushed at the end and didn't vacuum before leaving, so I had lots of cut carpet laying around. My only real complaint or concern is that the estimator over-estimated. I ended up with a 10x10 piece left over, which is about $500 worth of ''scrap''. Next time I'll know to watch for this."

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Red Rock, AZ

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
