"If you are looking for quality work, you need contact TUBAC BUILDERS. Luis and Jesus were very knowledgeable and did a very good job for me. My biggest thing was I needed a lot of stucco repair in my house, it looks so good I can’t tell where it was fixed. They figured out a way to fix a gate that had not worked since I’ve lived here. I mostly needed maintenance work done but I’m positive they would do good work on whatever the project you had. They were kind, courteous and always on time. Give TUBAC BUILDERS a call, you won’t regret it Juillene Hewitt "

"Called Booth Built to install gutter so when it rains we don't get a downpour between patio roof & pergola. Booth explained what way to install gutters and down spout. Very knowledgeable professional and same for the installers that came out. They even matched the color of gutters to house. Installers were accommodating, friendly and did a great job."

"I was in a bind when the plumber moving the plumbing in my kitchen informed me he hadn't put in his bid to fill the hole he created in my floor back up with concrete. I called Joe as ASAP Concrete and he said he would fit me into his schedule the next day since I had tile guys coming later in the week to tile and it would put me behind schedule if I didn't get it filled. He showed up on time, was extremely professional, filled in my floor and his price was very fair. I would definitely use him again for any concrete work! Thank you Joe for saving the day!"

"Mike was very good. He described what process he uses to level floors, what to expect and how much time it would take for each step: prep, grinding, and cleanup. His estimate was very honest and he gave me some pointers on how to save money with the job. I ended up doing the work myself, but Mike was very helpful in determining how much work was necessary to get the results I wanted."

"What a terrific company. They're there when they say they'll be there! They finish when they say they'll finish! Every person we worked with was friendly, accommodating, and exacting in every detail. We couldn't be happier with the finished project. Thanks everybody, but especially Brian and Danny, who reassured us every step of the way. It was a hot summer, but they kept us cool. Thanks, guys - you're the best!"

"Had Arrowhead remove old tile, grind the slab, and create what they call a "Flagstone" pattern right into the slab, complete with non-slip texture and a sealant. The whole process took about 4 days. Removing the old tile was clearly the most labor-intensive task, as expected. The work was performed right after Xmas, (Phoenix area) so the condo was open... at first.. The process of grinding off the concrete remnants from the old tile install creates an enormous amount of dust. Even with doors and windows closed, there was a fair amount of dust on the floors of the condo. Not a big deal for me, tho. Of course, everything had to be removed from the patio for the entire length of the project. Sprinklers were disabled.. After completion, I needed to wait a couple days before the sprinklers were enabled, and a full week before I could load the patio up with furniture. I am totally satisfied with the job. All crew members were very knowledgeable, friendly, and punctual. They did exactly what they said, and did it in the time frame specified. I asked some of my other contractors about the pricing, and most said it was very reasonable for the work performed. I tend to ask a lot of questions, especially when I'm unfamiliar with the process, and the crew was more than happy to answer all my questions. They incorporated the expansion joints right into the tile texture so there should be no impact if the deck moves a bit again in the future. The crew gave me a "patch kit" consisting of the components they used to create the texture. The office followed-up with me after the work was finished, to ensure I was happy with the process. I can't really suggest anything they could have done to improve the experience for me. I will have them over again when I decide to redo my front patio."

"Added another 100 Sq ft for another $800. Wood deck was demo'd and concrete poured but they ran out of mud and was short 8 inches so they took off $20. Workers never came back to complete clean up or finished removing the outline boards. Entire job was messy. Have overflow of concrete on my pavers, splatter on my house, and wooden stakes concreted into the ground that I cannot remove. Tried multiple times to contact Roger regarding original scheduling, timing, and eventually clean up and rarely heard back. Last time I spoke with him was about a refund for clean up since I had to do all of it because his guys never came back to finish the work. And I never got my refund. The concrete pour and slab are great but overall the lack of communication and clean up was an amazingly huge disappointment."

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Red Rock, AZ

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
