"Hardwood Flooring provided us with various hardwood flooring options. After we chose our flooring, we scheduled an installation date with an estimated 1 - 2 days to complete installation.
The installation crew showed up early on the scheduled installation date and completed the work in one day.
They made it a point to remove dust as the prepared the floor for hardwood.
I would definitely use them again."

"They showed up early each day (3) and started right away they took out the carpet and baseboards and started installing the laminate right away...i was a little concerned about NOT removing the vinyl flooring and that it would look uneven.. but I am not worried anymore .... the floors looks very level and flows very nicely from room to room...all the work they did looks great and very professional.....
my only regret was that I didn't cover the carpet on the stairs. I should have covered them with plastic or something because they got all dirty with all the dirt and dust that they were exposed to ....but that was my error...you see we never go upstairs with our shoes.....so i can either clean the stairs or use it as an excuse to get the stairs done in laminate too...
I am very pleased with JJ Flooring....I heard of them through my Aunt, they did her home a few years ago and the floors still look awesome.
I would HIGHLY recommend this company.
"

"The store is small but amazing - the product on display is well chosen and of high quality. They don't have a lot of space so a lot of time seems to have gone into selecting what they carry and display. I never thought I would say a carpet store was good looking but this one certainly is. A flair which gave me confidence that the ladies working here have a good sense for design.
I discovered CDC because the large flooring store that my renovation contractor sent me to didn't have the type of carpet I wanted (seagrass) and their supplier wasn't going to have it for 4 weeks at the earliest. I called CDC and spoke with Wyoma. She said they have several different suppliers for seagrass and was certain that she could get some within the necessary time frame. There must have been a run on seagrass carpet at the time because it took her 3 different phone calls to 3 different suppliers but she did find a carpet I liked. She gave me samples to take home so I could be certain of my decision. The next day I gave her a deposit for the carpet and she placed the order and scheduled installation.
Installation was a breeze...their crew showed up at the appointed day and time. The install went perfectly.
Later we decided to get some area rugs made out of the same seagrass. Wyoma went over our floor plan and suggested the perfect sizes and bindings for the rugs. The new rugs were delivered within a couple weeks - faster than most places off the internet would have been able to ship them. And much better looking and sized than what I could find off the rack. And the prices seemed great."

"Great! We visited the store and were greeted by Robin. She helped us find the color and style of carpet we wanted. A few days later, Ray came out to measure and give us a price, which I felt was extremely reasonable. The deal was sealed with a handshake. The two installers were prompt, only took about an hour, and moved our large furniture items in and out. The new carpet looks great, and we are very pleased with the whole experience. It was nice working with a hometown, family-run business rather than a big box store. We would definitely recommend Town Square Floors!"

"We were already leaning toward a specific carpet we'd found at a box store because it worked so perfectly with all our other new finishes, but after reading reviews both here and elsewhere, and preferring to do business with locally owned companies whenver possible, I decided to check out America's Carpet Outlet before making our final decision.
It was a pleasure to meet and work with the owner, David Pratt, and I would definitely recommend anybody shopping for carpet go by and visit with him. He impressed me as quite knowledgeable and shared an abundance of helpful information about the multitudes of choices in carpets (and pads), warranties (or lack of), effects of carpet cleaning, etc., and even though ours was a relatively small job, went to great lengths trying to find a carpet that was a match to sample swatch of the box store carpet we were considering. During this process, David worked closely with me, making suggestions, providing numerous swatches from his in-stock carpets, contacting his carpet reps to obtain color/style specific samples, keeping me updated on a regular basis, and always returned my calls promptly. He spent a considerable amount of time with me and worked hard to earn my business.
As I learned thru my extensive carpet shopping experiences, "apple to apple" price comparisons can be difficult to come by in the world of carpets because of all the variables. That said, his posted pricing for carpet and pad seemed very reasonable (e.g., his price/sf on 8 lb pad was +-35% less than comparable 8 lb pad I'd priced elsewhere) . It should be noted that David can refer you to any number of professional installers he works with, but they would have to be contracted with seperately as ACO only sells the materials.
In the end, turns out the box store carpet that worked so well with all our finishes was a proprietary color/pattern made exclusively for and sold only by the box store and thus there was really no match available, and ultimately we decided to go with the box store carpet. However, next time I'm in the market for carpet, I'll be going by to see David. Next time you're shopping carpet, maybe you should, too.
"

"CC Carpet In Richardson was the second carpet retailer I visited and at that time, I was given a ballpark figure for the two carpets I was looking at. This was supposedly after they looked up the price for the specific color of carpets. I setup an appointment for my house to be measured and the salesman to whom I talked in the showroom showed up. After measuring the house, he suggested that I should choose the more expensive carpet. I had already done my homework on both carpets and was trying to make an aesthetic choice, so I asked him to tell me the pros and cons of the two carpets. What he told me was totally contrary to the experts advice and when I asked a follow-up question, he admitted that he had only worked for the company for a couple of months. Ultimately, I chose the less expensive carpet then, as he was writing up the order, stated that the color I wanted was special order and that he needed to call and verify the price. To my surprise, there would be an extra $500 for the special order. I made the decision to proceed anyway. The carpet was to be delivered to them on Jan. 22nd and the salesman suggested that we set up a tentative installation date of Jan. 26th. No one called on Jan. 22nd to tell me that the carpet arrived, so I called them on Jan 23rd. Yes, the carpet arrived and I was told that I would receive a call on Jan 25th to confirm the installation. No one called during the day, so I called them at 5:30 pm. I was told that they had left me a message (they didn't) and that the installer would come the next day at 10:00 pm. The installers didn't show up, so finally getting irritated at the lack of communication, I went to the Richardson showroom. The salesman was there and called the main office. He then told me that they were scheduled to arrive between 10:00 am to 12:00 noon. I expressed my frustration with the communications and was that he was sorry and that there was nothing else he could do. The installers showed up at 12:00 noon and worked rapidly. The installers did a nice job,
"

"Patrick was very professional and courteous and completely understood our bad experience with the previous installer.
He was patient and took the time to answer all of our questions. The day of the installation, Patrick came out with his contractor who
completed the work. Both he and the contractor took lots of time to assess the work, answer questions and explain everything in detail. I was especially impressed that they decided to not use a saw to remove the old wood and instead removed it all by hand because it would create less dust since I told them I was allergic to dust and wanted everything covered in plastic. This was extra manual labor that they took upon themselves to do. As the work was being completed, Patrick was continuously involving me in the decisions as they came across situations or questions. In the end, they cleaned up the mess and walked through the final results with us to be sure we were happy. We had a wonderful experience and our stairs are now more stable and look beautiful. We would recommend Name Your Floor again.
"

FAQs for carpet installation projects in Red-rock, TX

Carpet rolls come in standard widths of 12 and 15 feet. Less commonly, you might find a roll 13.5 feet wide. There are no standard roll lengths, but they’ll have enough to cover almost any home.

You’ll need equal amounts of carpet padding and carpet. Carpet padding costs $200 to $500 for the average room. However, the padding is trimmed a couple of inches away from the wall on all sides to make room for tack strips. Most residential installs have padding, and professionals include this in their bids.

Often, the best carpet for basements doesn’t include a pad. You’ll find this mainly in humid areas or places with a high-water table.

One linear foot of carpet or other material is simply one foot measured in a straight line. You typically aren’t going to measure carpet this way. It’s quoted in square feet or square yards.

There are nine square feet in one square yard of carpet.

The amount of carpet you need to cover two rooms varies depending on the room size and configuration. Measure the floor space. Multiply width times length. Do this for both rooms and add the numbers together.

You’ll need between 80 and 110 square feet for 13 stairs. For unique stairwells, you might need more.

Measure indoor/outdoor carpet like you would any other area, taking the width times the length. For patios, make sure to add a couple extra inches to wrap around the edges. Indoor-outdoor carpets cost an average of $3.50 per square foot.

You’ll need enough carpet to cover the entire area of damage to avoid seams. For example, if you have a 4-inch tear in the middle of a hallway, you’ll want enough carpet to stretch from door to door or the next available seam. Depending on the type of carpet you have, you might be able to get a professional to do an invisible seam repair.

One square foot of carpet is one foot long by one foot wide.
