"CM tile did work in my 1904 Victorian Redlands, CA home in Sept. 2022. The hardwood floor in the kitchen was replaced with tile, and an adjacent ¾ bathroom was completely redone. In short, my wife and I both had an excellent experience. Manuel and his crew were diligent, professional, and polite. The project went smoothly from start to finish. Thatâ s not to say the project was without unexpected twists. The floor in the kitchen contained multiple layers of various materials that were stripped away before placing the new floor. And a pipe passing from our washing machine through the floor and into the basement had to be replaced after a leak from the pipe was discovered. The leak had slowly been doing damage to the adjacent flooring for years. The pipe was in a difficult area to reach. Manny dealt with the kitchen floor as needed and fixed the plumbing issue himself. He also placed a new toilet and a new vanity sink in the bathroom. For limited additional tasks beyond his scope needed to complete the project (such as dealing with the floor damage noted above), he brought in other experienced professionals as needed. The finished product is functional and beautiful, just what we wanted. Manny is a perfectionist with multiple skills and years of experience making homes better. Very highly recommended."

"Bernd is an incredible person. He has outstanding personal & work ethics (honest, professional, pleasant, knowledgeable, extremely neat & organized, very conscious of his work & environment!). Our custom tile job (outdoor stairs, BBQ Area Wall & huge planter box) was not an easy task. Yet, Bernd's finished our job which exceeded our expectations. We couldn't be happier. We HIGHLY recommend him, IF you are lucky to book him........ Book him and consider yourself LUCKY! Thank you, Bernd"

"I hired a large company who hired ProServ as the contractor for the project. My contractor was incredible and efficient. Regretfully the company was not. Carlos, ProServ owner, made an incredibly awkward situation work out. I would give ProServ and especially Carlos rave reviews. The professionalism and honesty of the contractor and his crew is exemplary and quality of his work is exceptional."

"I have known Jay for approximately five years and have always been very impressed with his work. He is a straight shooter and is very thorough in his budgeting/ bid process, which means his quotes are honored unless a change order/ upgrade is requested. Itâ s rare to find an individual who is elite at both design and building quality, usually one person does not possess both of those skills. Between high-end design, craftsmanship, stellar communication and a reasonable, fair approach toward his clients, working with Jay and Classic Kitchens is always a pleasure. I would not work with anyone else, I highly recommend using Classic Kitchens for all your home remodel needs."

"Paul and his team are amazing. In every aspect of the remodel of our master bathroom they were professional and meticulous. There were many facets to this work including a high end tankless water heater system that required working in the attic as well as cutting access points in the existing walls. You can't even see where the walls were cut. Not only excellent workmanship, but he and each of his employees were very personable. I was comfortable with all of them spending time in my home and to me that's just as important as the quality of the work. They left everything spotless when they finished and our new bathroom is gorgeous. We would highly recommend this company."

"I wanted to replace carpet with wood-look vinyl in living room, dining room, library and office in my house, but the floors were very uneven. One company said they would only recommend replacing with new carpet and a second company gave me a ridiculously high estimate for the work. Jacobs Construction quoted a fair price, which went up a bit when they pulled up the carpet and saw just how bad the floors were. The final cost was far below the other quote. The work was done in just two days, and the floors are beautiful!"

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
