"Everything went smoothly. Drawings were on time and we had no trouble getting permits. I’d hire him again the next time I need remodeling. I have also recommended him to a friend who once they move back to Las Vegas are planning to purchase a fixer-upper."

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"The entire project went very well.  I highly recommend their services.  They responded quickly to my emergency call and questions.  The office girls were extremely friendly and helpful as well as the workers in my home.  Everyone, including the sub contractors were polite and professional. The whole process of restoring my home was much easier and quicker than I expected.

"Installed master bedroom and bath room doors. The old ones had small doggie doors in them from the previous owners. Also installed a kitchen chandelier and a dinning room ceiling fan with light. Both of the fixtures match our pfaltzgraff  dishes that we have had for 38 years. We have been moving them around in boxes for the past 14 years. I almost cried when they were hanging back up in our home again. Everything about the job went as they said it would, couldn't be happier. We called them again to fix our under ground sprinklers. We didn't know how the thing even worked. Not only was it fixed and working, he showed us how it works. We have had the house almost a year now, and you can be sure we will be calling them again. We are already making a list of jobs to be done for the next time."

FAQs for doors (exterior) installation and replacement projects in Reno, NV

If your entry bakes in direct sun, fiberglass is the clear winner. The material shrugs off extreme heat, stays energy-efficient, and won’t warp or fade the way wood sometimes can. Paired with low-E or UV-blocking glass, a quality fiberglass door keeps hot air out, cool air in, and should serve you reliably for roughly two decades.

A seasoned door pro can hang a replacement door in two to four hours—mounting the slab, tweaking the fit, and adding hinges, knobs, and weatherstripping. If the jamb needs repairs or you’re cutting a brand-new opening, plan on extra time so everything lines up and seals tightly. Either way, most projects wrap up in a single afternoon.
