We asked about different materials/brands and Pete was very knowledgeable, very open to discuss other estimates we had been given and other ideas we had learned from other roofers. When he was all ready to go he gave us about a week notice but we had to reschedule due to a surgery in the family. It's been about a month or so and the roof looks spectacular. Really nice job. I work from home and the guys were very respectful the entire time and were never a problem for us at all, even friendly to our dog when he happened to be out in the yard. They cleaned every day and it was pretty much painless. Pete did not charge us a penny more than his bid, even though he ended up replacing more boards than expected. Outstanding, perfect job from start to finish and we're really happy we saw through the fluff and picked these guys."

"We had our chimney (with two flues) inspected earlier this year by Andrew Wilt and he had recommended a number of maintenance items, including repairing a cracked crown, parging one of our flues, and applying a water repellant to the outside of our chimney bricks. Today Geoff came out and did these repairs. Everything got done, including applying two coats of water repellent. The crown coat looks great and will extend the life of the crown. He was able to get everything done in under six hours, finishing about an hour before it started raining. He had to remove the chimney caps I had added after Andrew's inspection, and put them back exactly as I had them. No plants were damaged; no trash was left on our property. He took time to discuss the job, before and after, and answered all my questions. Both he and Andrew were thorough and pleasant to work with. Andrew's inspection cost $137. Geoff's work cost $1374, with an Angies List discount."

"My first contact with the technician from POWERS was just to look into the subject of getting chimney caps, because I was having problems with moisture damage inside my house on that south-facing wall.  I spoke to the guys who did a full tear-down and rebuild of my roof a few years ago (A Better Roofing Company), and they did a FREE inspection of the roof and determined that it was intact and that the likely cause of my problem was rain saturating the inside of my chimney and migrating into that south wall near the chimney.  A Better Roofing Company does not offer chimney caps, so I checked the reviews on Angie's List and decided to call POWERS.  I was scheduled for just two days following my call, which pleased me greatly. <br> <br>On the appointed day the POWERS technician arrived on time, was courteous, professional and friendly, and went up on my roof to take measurements.  When he came down he told me my chimney had two flues and that they were a standard size, AND that he had them in his truck and could install them right now if I wished.  I agreed, and within a half hour my chimney caps were installed.  As I looked at the new chimney caps I mentioned that my brick wall was a bit past due for an application of brick sealer, and the technician told me that POWERS could do that for me too!  He took some measurements of my south wall and gave me an estimate.  I agreed, and about a week later my sealant was applied. <br> <br>I am DELIGHTED!  Typically I have bad luck finding competent, honest help who have a sense of urgency about getting the job done RIGHT the FIRST time.  Thanks to Angie's List and POWERS CHIMNEY & MASONRY, my luck may be changing!  <br> <br> <br> "
