Owner Bernard (Ben) Heisterkamp emigrated from the Netherlands in 1980, has lived in Pierce County since 1982 and has been a licensed contractor since 1984 (license number: RAINBHI168ME) He specializes in kitchen and bath remodeling, interior finish carpentry, ceramic tile and laminate work, but is experienced in most phases of construction. He is a hands-on contractor, an old school craftsman with over 25 years of experience in residential remodeling, who prefers to do most of the work himself and takes great pride in his work. When necessary he will subcontract plumbing, electrical or drywall work, but all work will be carefully supervised. Quality control is his utmost priority. Remodeling is stressful for homeowners. There is dust, noise, change in daily routines and invasion of privacy. Ben will make all efforts to keep disruptions to a minimum. He will also consult with you throughout the project, explain choices and offer suggestions to make sure that the end result will meet your expectations and that he can add you to his list of happy customers. If your home is built before 1979, it might possibly contain lead paint. We are prepared to deal with the lead dust that can be generated by remodeling activities.
