"The installers Chino and Irving were amazing. They replaced the windows with very little noise and there work incredibly. When it's time to replace my patio door i will certainly. request these installers. The price is a little high but worth it. Blessings"

"Great husband and wife team, very nice people. They completed the work per the estimate. The only thing not up to my expectations was their follow through in getting back to me. First with the estimate, which came 2 days after I was told I would have it. and after the work on my sliding door was finished, they were supposed to get back to me on whether or not they could find new wheels for the door. They said I should hear the next day, it's been over a month and I never heard back from them."

"Entered into a contract to replace half of my homes windows. I like the quality of the triple pane Glasswing products and can’t wait for installation in a few months. They will make a huge difference in visibility and energy efficiency. My sales guy, Scott, was very professional and understands the products and the industry. Enjoyed this sales pitch!"

"Called A-1 because they did a great job the last time. They did just as well this time-came out same day, identified and fixed the problem for a reasonable price, and the door now works better than it has since we bought the house. Great job. And this guy then follows up with a phone call a few days later to be sure everything is working and we're happy. That's service. Their sticker with contact information is now up on my garage wall!"

"Great experience. David is old school. A man of integrity. All the work was performed as was spelled out in proposal(bid). We complicated matters when we replaced all the gutter and downspouts in the middle of project. Never a negative comment. We changed the trim in mid stream. Not a word. Thanks David."

We needed to replace our sliding glass door in our family room.  Matt, from Rocket Construction, was going door to door in our neighborhood and we invited him back to discuss replacing our door, which became very difficult to slide.  We wanted a wooden interior and

"     I was having trouble deciding what flooring to use in a basement bedroom (cement floor) which had been flooded a few weeks earlier.  A few other flooring companies & a contractor insisted that marmoleum or a glue-down flooring was the only way to go (which itself was problematic with maintaining the adhesive bond), but I was preferring something that was warmer, and could "float" & be removed & replaced if water returned.  I had used adhesive vinyl plank flooring originally, but learned too late that you can't pull up the full floor like it leads you to believe...you can only repair small sections.  I had to throw away over $500 of flooring that I had purchased (elsewhere) & had laid down the year before because it all cracked when I tried pulling it up.
Steve @ Avenues Flooring was excellent in listening to my needs, meeting my modest budget, and suggested using  "click" together vinyl plank flooring instead of the adhesive style.  It has the same good wood-like look,  the durability, is water proof, resistent to mold,  and I can actually pull it apart & re-install it if I ever have a water problem again!  Steve also went the extra mile & researched & found a darker wood look that I preferred than what he usually carries.
Scheduling the install was easy;  Steve works with a gentleman named Ivan (Advanced Flooring Solutions).  They offer weekend & evening appointments, so it was wonderful for me that I didn't have to take time off from work to be at the house.  Ivan was very courteous, prompt, and worked efficiently. He called ahead & confirmed a time to drop off the flooring a few days before,  and we arranged for a Sunday AM install.  Through no fault of Ivan's, I had to re-schedule him to return to finish the small adjacent hallway. I couldn't pull up the existing hallway flooring until the bedroom was completed, and when I did, I discovered  mold from the bedroom flooding had extended to under the hallway flooring as well.   I got the mold cleaned up and Ivan returned the following week in an evening slot and finished the area, at no extra charge.   I'm very happy with the install;  it's an old house & not many of the walls are plumb in basement, but Ivan still made it look good.   I also liked that Steve did follow-up calls with me to ensure everything had gone the way I wanted.  The only minor issue I have is that although Ivan cleaned up the work site very well, he didn't take the empty flooring boxes with him at the end of the job, but left them outside by my house.  Not a problem for me;  I have a big recycle bin that took them without problem.  But, I think maybe it was just an oversight.
Added note:  Steve also sells & installs counters & tile, in addition to flooring.  I'm definitely going to be in touch with him for my next projects as well.  He's absolutely the best for offering options, tips, and points to consider as you're planning your work, and making sure that your job is done right.  I highly recommend checking out Avenues Flooring.

FAQs for doors (exterior) installation and replacement projects in Rhododendron, OR

If your entry bakes in direct sun, fiberglass is the clear winner. The material shrugs off extreme heat, stays energy-efficient, and won’t warp or fade the way wood sometimes can. Paired with low-E or UV-blocking glass, a quality fiberglass door keeps hot air out, cool air in, and should serve you reliably for roughly two decades.

A seasoned door pro can hang a replacement door in two to four hours—mounting the slab, tweaking the fit, and adding hinges, knobs, and weatherstripping. If the jamb needs repairs or you’re cutting a brand-new opening, plan on extra time so everything lines up and seals tightly. Either way, most projects wrap up in a single afternoon.
