"They didn't really pay attention to detail. They slept paint on outlets door knobs window sills that another company had to clean or clear the paint so that I could open the windows lock doors and to use the outlets. They also recommended me to purchase an enormous amount of paint that I never used."

"I hired this team to deep clean my floors which had a lot of dirt in the groove of the tile. They came and steam clean the floor. They did a very good job for the carpet. But left the floor as dirty as when they began. They came back to see what I was complaining about and they said I made the floor dirty again. I told them before they took the job that if they could not get it clean please don't accept the job but they insisted they could get it clean. I spent close to $400 and did not get satisfaction. "

Customers say: Quick response

"I had a great experience with this painter! Ever painted my ceiling and did an absolutely perfect job. The quality of his work was excellent—everything looks clean, even, and professionally done 🥰 He was very efficient and clearly knew what he was doing, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free. On top of that, he was friendly, respectful, and had such a positive, easygoing energy. Overall, a very nice gentleman and someone I would definitely recommend and hire again!"

"They did as agreed and I never had the opportunity to meet with them. Impressed with the cutting around wires and lighting… clean and perfect with no overpaint… one coat did the job. I’d hire again."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Ridgewood, NJ

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
