"The repairman diagnosed the problem with my refrigerator fairly quickly and gave me the quote. He needed to get the parts and came back the next morning and promptly completed the repair. The refrigerator works perfectly now as it did when it was brand new. The repairman was professional and courteous and I believe the price was quite fair. I kept his business card in case I need them again. "

"Axis Appliance Repair is an absolute DISASTER of a company My Frigidaire freezer (still under warranty) had an issue with the inside frosting up. Axis Appliance repair was dispatched by Frigidaire to fix the problem, however after the tech visit, the problem was even worse! I contacted Axis and told them that the issue was not resolved and they said that they would be ordering a part (door gasket) that they thought might fix it. 12 days later no part had been delivered and despite 4 phone calls and multiple texts over a 4 day period trying to get Axis to provide me with tracking information for the part, they could not provide anything at all ?? they could not even provide the part order number with Frigidaire so that I could call Frigidaire MYSELF to find out when the part would be delivered! To put things in perspective the part was a door seal gasket that I could have ordered on Amazon or eBay and had delivered to my house in 1 day! Read other reviews on Yelp before using them"

"My front-load washing machine was leaking and my neighbor recommended Zajic. Best decision I made was to have them come out to fix the problem (very old gaskets). Justin M was extremely knowledgeable, fixed the problem and also checked the water pump. Turns out there was about $1 worth of change rattling around in there. Since the washer and dryer are stacked units built into a cabinet, I thought it was going to be major work. Justin M completed the work in less than 1 hour without having to take the machine apart. I highly recommend them."

"Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. There was a deadline for installing this part before tenants arrive. They did not care, would not m"

FAQs for fridge, freezer or ice maker repair or service projects in Rio Linda, CA

Most ice makers are similar in design, and some parts are interchangeable. However, if your ice maker has advanced filters or special features, it's best to use the same make and model to ensure everything works properly. Ask your appliance repair pro to check your appliance specifications to be sure.

With regular use and proper maintenance, an ice maker typically lasts about four to five years. If you keep up with tasks like changing the filters every six months, you might get up to 10 years out of your ice maker. Address any problems with your ice maker right away by calling an appliance professional to ensure you solve any issues before they escalate, helping to keep your ice maker running smoothly for longer.

Your refrigerator's age plays a big role in deciding whether to repair or replace the ice maker. If your fridge is nearing the end of its average 14-year lifespan, it might not be worth investing in expensive repairs since other parts could fail soon. Getting a diagnosis from a refrigerator repair pro can help you decide what's best.
