"I noticed I had a leak in the steam radiator valve and called Greenwood Plumbing since they've done previous work at my house (replaced water line from house to street, new hot water tank and system inspections). As always, they try to get someone out as soon as possible, so the tech (John) came out at 8:30 the next morning as promised. The tech took one look and told me it was going to be a tough job because the valve to be replaced was going to be difficult to get at due to the lack of room. The radiators in the house are recessed in the wall. He was extremely nice, and honest in letting me know that it wasn't going to be easy and would cost approx. $500.00 or so. Being that there would be no way that I could fix it myself, I felt I needed to go ahead because of the leak. I will have to say that the tech worked very hard, and found a way to get at the valve. It took about 2 1/2 hrs to be completed, which I was pleased. After discussing what was done with others, and looking online for how much the parts cost, I'm embarrassed that I paid that much (more than 150.00 per hr labor). I'm not sure that I would call them again"

"when tech showed up the dryer seemed to be working and heating however it did not when I called, seemed the heating element was cracked creating and off and on working condition. I went ahead to repair the problem by purchasing a new heating element. I was surprised however that the tech expected me to pay in full before he ordered the part and repaired the problem, but I did using my credit card knowing if there was a issue the credit card co. would have my back, The part was order and Alex fixed it as soon as it came in and was great"

"We had water damage on our pristine plaster ceiling in our library and water running down the sides of our walls from our two upstairs bathrooms. Eventually we figured out it was probably from a cracked pipe and not just a toilet overflowing. George (the owner) came in and demo'ed part of the ceiling to expose completely rotted cast iron and lead waste piping and corroded brass piping. We had to fight with the insurance about cost and scope of work, and George was very patient and helpful throughout the whole time. George was fantastic about breaking out costs and giving us different options to get a scope of work that we could do for our budget. He was very responsive and accommodating. He came to the house several times on the weekend to discuss items to insure that we fully understood everything and that we and him were always on the same page. We had them replace the waste piping from the upstairs bathrooms to the basement with PVC and replace the supply piping with Pex tubing. To access the piping, he had to demo part of a closet and an existing built-in cabinetry. He worked with us to save the bottom half of the cabinetry, and only demoing the part that I thought was ugly. He's workers were great guys and very friendly. They even would let our cat out of the basement at the end of their workday so he wouldn't have to stay in there till we came home later at night. The repairs to the ceiling look fantastic and the paint job was flawless. George was extremely knowledgeable and even walked around the house giving us pointers on small projects that we could tackle ourselves. I would recommend him to anyone who asked."
