"I worked as a sub contractor on a Walmart project in Fulton NY for SGTR LLC. I?ll start off by saying my company still hasn?t been paid by Eli or his company. All work performed by us, matched the blue prints and everything was to spec. After about 90 days without payment we decided to terminate the contract, we were contracted for a net 45 on all payments. We?ve been owed a significant amount of money for 9 months now. We?ve sent in pay apps, and everything needed for us to receive payment. Eli has personally lied to me about the termination of certain employees and that?s why we haven?t been paid. Well, fast forward a few months and those employees that were ?terminated? are now contacting me in regards to our payments. We did a substantial amount of work outside of our contract to help SGTR out, such as winter condition work, carpentry, mill work, took care of the fencing they were responsible for because of their lack of employees etc. My company isn?t the only one owe a large amo"

"Humberto did an excellent job from start to finish. He responded quickly and was able to schedule an appointment within just two days of my initial call, which I really appreciated. When he arrived, he was punctual, professional, and very polite. He took the time to explain what he was doing, worked efficiently, and made sure everything was completed to a high standard. The quality of his work exceeded my expectations, and he left the area clean and tidy when he was done. I am extremely happy with the results and would highly recommend Humberto to anyone looking for reliable and skilled service."

"I met with Steven from California Palms Landscaping to discuss my landscaping project. Just a few hours later I was sent a detailed and comprehensive quote for what my project would cost me, he even made suggestions that actually saved me money. His crew arrived on the date and time scheduled and did an OUTSTANDING job of converting my dried-out front lawn into a beautiful drought-tolerant and environmentally friendly landscape. They completed their work on time, on budget and cleaned up at the end of each dayâ s work. I definitely will use their services again; I have a backyard to rehabilitate!"

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Riverview, FL

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
