JC Honey explained the product and the process well, then sprayed at the base of the walls in each room inside the house, around the base outside, and at the openings to our garden edging where ants like to hide. He also determined that the most likely nest location was around a bay window at the front of the house. The product used today only needs to be applied once to kill off the colony. It's so effective that it is no longer necessary to determine the actual location of the nest. JC explained that there would be a few stragglers, but if there was a continuing problem, he would return to make a second application. He didn't need to. This is not trivial our house, approx 90 years old, and a fair amount of time was spent discussing the challenges that our old house presented. The removal of the existing system and replacement went flawlessly, with a crew of 3 to perform the work. The crew was clean, courteous, busy, and professional. They had brought all the necessary equipment with them, and clearly knew their jobs very well. When installation was completed, a technician came out to perform the final checkout and go over the care and operation of the new system with me. Just as the case with the installation crew, the technician was a complete professional and very polite and helpful. All permits were pulled correctly, and final payment was arranged with the salesman a few days later. A week or so after that, the rebate forms for the furnace and A/C arrived by mail, and thoughtfully were already partially completed by Dand G.
