To my shock and dismay, the granite has CRACKED clear through and chipped! I called and sent photos to Ultimate Stone for weeks before I got a call back. Finally, the company president made an appointment to visit my home on a specified date, with a 3-hour window, to look at the problem. I took time off work for this and waited the 3 hours, BUT HE DIDN'T SHOW UP and hasn't returned my follow-up calls, either. I don't know what to do. These granite countertops cost me a LOT. I paid quite a bit more than the original deal because I needed additional countertops made. I had planned to put up my home for sale in the near future, but I can't do this with a big crack in the kitchen counter like this. I dealt with both Ultimate Stone and Angie's List in good faith, and I'm afraid I cannot recommend either at this point."
