"AWESOME…. Carolina Custom Mounts These guys do great work. They aren’t the ‘cheapest,’ but Far from the most expensive. Before choosing Carolina Custom Mounts, if I had any questions or needed additional information, I would text Alan. He would answer by text . . . usually within minutes! When Alan was here to spec the job, there was also a cable TV tech here. He said, “I’ve seen their work, they do a great job.” I wanted to add Dolby ‘Atmos’ top speakers to a 14’ ceiling. Alan was the ONLY ‘professional’ who could do what we wanted. He visited us twice and like a ferret climbed through the crawlspace and into the attic to be sure they could do what I wanted. Alan was very considerate of my budget. I needed to also upgrade the AV/Receiver. Alan could not get what I wanted in time. So, he offered, for the same price, another brand, with upgraded features. I wanted Klipsch speakers. He found speakers made by Klipsch, but at a lower cost. We needed some additional Ethernet cables and jacks installed. He also pre-wired the attic for an OTA (over-the-air antenna) should we decide to get rid of cable. We have In-The-Wall: 1 center speaker, 2 back speakers and 2 In-The-Ceiling overhead Atmos speakers. Everything looks and sounds GREAT. We wanted the TV above the fireplace, and we wanted to use only the “Down-And-Out” mount by Dynamic Mounting . Alan mounted our current 47” TV. I asked him to try to compensate the mount install to handle a future new 55” to 65” TV. They did that and it works and looks great. We had 4 ‘professionals’ quote us. It was only Carolina Custom Mounts who could do it all and meet my budget. They scheduled everything just a few days out and completed the job in one day. The others quoting was a guy local to Belmont NC area. I had to call him 3 times over a period of a week just to get a quote. We have not seen his work, and were not confident he could do what we needed or get the Dynamic Mount. Another, don’t recall name, from further away was higher priced, did not convince me that he could put speakers in a 14’ ceiling. He also seemed kind of confused about the type of mount I wanted. Audio Advice, Pineville. They came the next day to review specs and offered a quote the following day. They were the most expensive. Their rep looked in the attic and told me speakers could not be placed in the ceiling. They didn’t carry some components that I wanted…so I would have to purchase those on my own. They were the most expensive (over 2 times Carolina Custom Mounts price) and had the longest lead-time. . . over 3 weeks. My wife and I are very pleased with Carolina Custom Mounts. They are professional, know what they are doing and work with you to meet your budget and schedule."

"I called Russ to give me an estimate on built in bookshelves (est was $3000) and doors and shelf for an already existing shelf. Russ came on time when I made the 1st appt. We were having other work done to our house so I was trying to figure out what we were going to have done this year. I called Russ back 4 months later and he came back out to remeasure. He missed the 1st appt to remeasure but when I called back he came out. I was unsure about the built in shelves but wanted to do the have the doors and shelf made which he said would not be a problem. This was on a Tues. He said he would have it done by the end of the week so I called on Monday when I had not heard from him. This started at the end of May. He had another project but would put the doors in the truck and stop by when he had a few minutes. The next time I called he still need to paint the doors but it was too humid. Then after calling weekly for 6 weeks I asked if I need to find someone else to do it and he said his truck and all of his tools were stolen???? I provide this information b/c I got the run around."

"My electrician was TJ and he did an amazing job. First up was installing a new heavy chandelier in the dining room. He determined the junction box wouldn't hold the weight of the new chandelier and installed one that would. Chandelier install went great. He moved forward to installing electrical two wall sconces in the dining room. Going into this project I was fulling expecting the whole wall to require drywall repair. In the end, I have one small, very neat, hole in the kitchen that will need repair. The chandelier had two single wall switches in the dining room. He placed a dimmer on one switch and on the second he changed it out to two switches. One for the chandelier and one for the two wall sconces. This exceeded my expectations for the room. He wrapped up the day by installing a new bar light fixture of the vanity. TJ is a thoughtful and talented electrician. I'm more than pleased with the work performed and would recommend Fairway Electric."
