"From start to finish took about five weeks. We took bids/proposals from two other providers during this period and selected RW Gallion based on our experience with Carolyn, Owner/Designer at the shop and discussion with Randy regarding the process. We also liked the look and feel of the granite we selected. Price was important, but they were not the low bidder. As mentioned above, we were persistent at getting all of the costs detailed up front. A number of elements go into the pricing - granite cost, cutting (sinks, stove tops), edges (standard and special), sealing and so on. Measurements are important and can impact pricing as a multiple -- square footage and linear feet measurements are used to determine various costs. We did our own drawings and calculations and found it helpful to determine (and understand) the final pricing. <br /> Coordination of the various aspects of the remodel was important. RW Gallion worked closely with the cabinet guys, the floor refinishers, the plumber and electician to get everything installed in the right order. It was actually quite remarkable to see the new oven/range slip into the hole that was cut in the granite and watch the various craftsman work together to make everything fit. Cross-referral was integral in the the process and it was apparent that the various companies used for our remodel had worked together in the past. <br /> All we have left to do is the tile backsplash and our new kitchen will be complete. We are happy. It looks great and we stayed on budget. We heartily recommend RW Gallion to anyone looking to upgrade your kitche - or other room - with the look and feel of granite or stone. <br />"

"My wife and I wanted new hard woods in our house but had very specific requirements that we could not typically find locally.  My wife wanted a dark floor while I wanted extreme durability in a natural hard wood.  We did our homework and decided that Brazilian Walnut (Ipe) most closely matched what we wanted.  <br /> After looking locally for something that fit the bill, the flooring we found was either over $12 sq/ft (too expensive) or not dark enough.  I started searching on-line and ran across Brazilian Direct.  Their prices seemed reasonable (a bit over $6 sq/ft for what we wanted) and they even had a tinted (dark) version of the floor we liked. <br /> After several weeks of questions and further research, we decided to place an order.  We we worked with a representative named Sannon who helped us every step of the way.  She sent us samples, instructions, guides - everything to make us more comfortable about our eventual order.  Our order came right on schedule and the wood was really beautiful.  After several weeks of the required acclimation we had a local installer put the floor down.  They did an excellent job and we really love our floor.  There was very little waste and in fact we had at least 3 boxes left over. <br /> I highly recommend Brazilian Direct.  We are considering using them again for a deck project we'd like to do in the future. <br />"

"This experience could not have been better!  I wish there was more I could do to spread the word about this company because everything about them was exceptional! <br /> <br /> When I called and scheduled an estimate, if I remember they were able to come out the next day.  I believe it was Gene / Eugene who came out and he was very friendly.  He took measurements, made a sketch, gave me a pamphlet for sink options, and said he would call within a couple days with a quote. <br /> <br /> He called a couple days later and gave us a quote of a little over $1,700, which was based on a mid-range granite product meaning that depending on what we picked, that number could increase or decrease; we have about 31 square feet of countertop.  This price included an undermount 16-ga. stainless steel two-basin sink, a polished edge in the granite around the sink, all fabrication and installation labor, a special curve (about 9" radius) on one corner to match our cabinetry, and tax - totally out-the-door price.  (It did not include demolition and removal because I did that part myself.)  I was floored by how reasonable the price was, considering we had received a quote from a different company for a laminate product <em>without</em> a sink for nearly $1,300 and a quartz countertop from yet another company for nearly five grand (see my review of FloForm...)! <br /> <br /> We ended up selecting an even cheaper product so our total was a little over $1,500!  They were able to schedule the template appointment for the <em>very next day</em> and as it turned out, they actually called a little later and asked if they could do it that same day, which I was happy to accommodate!  They were also able to schedule the installation for only one week later, so we were absolutely thrilled! <br /> <br /> When the installers arrived, they were absolutely professional and experienced in their craft.  It took something near a full day to complete, but the finished product was just stunning.  The seam is virtually invisible thanks to their color-matched epoxy system and vacuum machine they use for bonding the two together.  We could not be happier with the product we got, especially for the price! <br /> <br /> I feel like I am forgetting things I wanted to say about this company because the experience was just so great.  On the other hand, it was so easy and painless there isn't much that needs to be said.  Their product and service were perfect, and I felt the price was unbeatable.  I absolutely recommend this company for granite countertops (they also offer quartz and other products) and will definitely be getting in touch with them when we go to remodel our bathroom!"

"I have used several Granite Gold products and like their effectiveness because they do what they are supposed to do. No strong fumes or irritating skin problems. The granite counter top daily cleaner and polish are so easy to use (spay it on and wipe with a paper towel) to keep all your stone products clean and shiny. I was surprised to see how effective the grout cleaner is. I sprayed it on some dirty tire floors in the bathroom and let it sit for a couple of minutes. Then I went over it with the scrub brush they provide. It looked clean then, but when it dried, it was much brighter. This is a 40 Year old bathroom tile floor pictured. "They picked up my rug on a Tuesday morning and returned it the same Thursday morning. The rug looked great when it was returned to me. I love the pickup and drop off service and they were very prompt in returning my call and arranging times. I have used Pioneer Cleaning for this rug 3 or 4 times in the past as well and have always had good experiences. The backing was coming undone on one corner in the past and they did a nice repair on the corner as a part of the cleaning service."
