"I regret hiring this company. The sales rep was pushy and misleading about what was included ? I believed gutters, soffit, and fascia were part of the job, but later was told it was just a cleaning (which never happened). The crew left open holes in my roof on day one, and the ?one-day job? dragged into four days of loud, late work with sloppy cleanup and debris left behind. When they said the job was done, I found exposed nail heads, poor trim work, and granule loss on my brand-new roof. They had to send crews back multiple times, and I still had to hire two independent inspectors at my own expense. I was also charged over $1,000 extra for wood and for trim I didn?t want ? now I?ll have to pay to remove and replace it. Despite repeated promises from management that they would ?take care of me,? my calls, emails, texts, and photos went ignored after one brief call from the GM. Poor workmanship, poor communication, and no accountability. I would not recommend this company."

"My home was built in 2004 with an asphalt roof. The area was always subjected to high winds and pieces of my asphalt roof were always breaking off after a few years. I live in a two story single home and frankly was getting tired and old of having to go on my roof and repair shingle panels. I looked at both asphalt and metal choices. The quotes on the asphalt would guarantee the product 25 years. This always sounds good but it would not guarantee minor shingle damage do to wind and weather. I started to investigate metal roofs and although I knew they were more expensive I also knew that it would last my lifetime and beyond. I did extensive research and made a lot of conclusions. My first piece of advice is DON'T go to your local Home Improvement store and seek out local contractors in your area that say they can do a metal roof installation but in reality never did one. There is a certain skill set involved. Secondly look at the quality of the product itself. In my case I wanted the thickest gauge and I wanted what was referred to as Standing Seam. I did not want exposed fasteners with rubber grommets that crack and could break loose in time. The company "Custom Construction Systems" gave me a honest quote which included a complete tear off and new underlayment installed. I definitely wanted that. Some of my neighbors that had lower end metal roofs installed it directly over their old asphalt roof. The product I got was true 24 gauge which is often used in industrial settings. Some of the products at the Home Improvement stores would actually add the paint thickness with the metal thickness. Keep this in mind! The advantages of metal over asphalt are hands down better. If you are environmentally concerned, metal roofing is 98% recyclable and is probably already being used from recycled metal. I was able to see homes and businesses that were done and the company and workers were very professional. My roof turned out beautiful. It was very affordable too for a high quality product and a team of workers that knew how to do metal roof installations. "Custom Construction Systems" also delt directly with the manufacturer of the product. This was a huge advantage in the cost of the project. If you do your own investigating like me you will soon find out that the manufacturers product cost is highly inflated by the distributer. Thanks for reading and good luck."

A representative came out and did a walk around with me, and I realize that they were the best option for me to work with. They were very courteous and helpful and walk me through the process.. "Jeff Ritter, Machesney Park, IL claims to be the owner of Raintree Seamless Gutters, yet I hear the name Steve Lizer associated here, also? Not sure. Anyhow about 6 years ago, Ritter and his sons put up all new gutters for me, late summer of 2016. In the spring, one of the corners was POURING water, during a bad rainstorm. The gutters were 6 months old. Have had problems with LEAKING gutters ever since. I call him back every year to come and fix them. He claims "he doesn't know why" they keep leaking? Really? Then, maybe you should be in another trade, because I bought new gutters so they wouldn't leak anymore! A couple years, he never showed up to fix them, because it rained too much, then got cold, etc. so many excuses. I have records of text messages to him, as well as emails, with videos showing the water leaking from several of the corners. He did come and replace the 6 corners in 2019, but guess what? They STILL leak! I called him in 2021 to come fix and no response, ever! I went up there myself with gutter goop to try and fix this ridiculous problem: leaking gutters! Don't waste your time and/or money hiring this guy."
