"The first person came to do this job but left many pieces out of the installation. He did such a poor job of mounting the 55" TV that it began leaning lopsided! Gilbert came to undo all the first person messed up. Gilbert assembled and mounted my 55 inch TV on a large stand that he had to put together again correctly after taking down the awful job done by Diego. Gilbert had no problem with the complex instructions and did a fine job even going out to get screws that had been inserted incorrectly. Gilbert was professional and worked quickly. "First of all, this review was not requested by the company.  Although the installation of our windows and doors was done in fall of 2012 we waited to post the review to see how the windows were during winter / rain season.
We got quotes from 5 different companies in the SF Bay Area and we decided to go with Five Star Windows for new construction installation of 9 windows and 3 doors in an existing stucco house. Five Star Windows offer was neither the cheapest nor the most expensive. As the company sells several brands of windows Jeffrey Pickard, the owner, did not push a particular brand. Jeffrey was most thorough in his explanation of the different types of windows available and which would fit our requirements. 
We decided to buy Milgard Tuscany windows (lifetime warranty).
After all our research, I believe the best window is one that not only meets your budget and energy needs but a professional and proper installation. Five Star Windows Company comes with window installers certified by AAMA (American Architectural Manufactures Association) meaning its installation specialists are trained on windows installation techniques based on industry standards for both new construction and replacement projects.
The installation team, Ismail and Isidro, led by Jose Luis Pulido arrived to install the windows and was also very professional. They set up all of their equipment each morning, cleaned up and vacuum each afternoon. They laid down cloths for walking through to work from inside. Jose clearly explained every step in the process of installation. Ismail did a great job of matching the old stucco.
Jeffrey estimated that ours windows and doors would be installed (including re-stucco and wood trim replacement) in one week, it took them 4 days to install all windows and doors.
We are very happy with our windows and doors and we will continue to refer Five Star Windows Company to anyone that we know that needs new windows and doors.
