Unlike your typical handyman or contractor -- I carry a Specialty License that allows me to "legally" work on minor Electrical and Plumbing issues. Things like: lighting, ceiling fans, switches, outlets, appliances, disposals, toilets, sinks, faucets, etc... There are less than 150 of us in the state. I have over 20 years experience in both residential and commercial construction; so I didn't just decide I needed a way to make some money, grab a couple wrenches and screwdrivers thinking I could "fix" things; and start calling myself a handyman. I know code and construction practices, so there is no jerry-rigging going on here (I know that "duct tape" can be used on anything BUT duct work). I'll talk your ear off if you let me, but you'll be well informed about what I am doing and why. I pride myself on maintaining communication with my clients. "Horrible customer service and the product is only getting worse over time. I have ordered 16 shutters from them over 5 separate orders during the last two years. A recent order late last year came with parts missing and getting replacement parts was a hassle because I had to provide pictures. How do you provide pictures of missing parts? My most recent order arrived without the mounting strips and blocking strips being pre-drilled. I received the screws and screw covers but no holes for them. After multiple back and forth with "Angie" from customer service I was forwarded a poorly spelled response from their supplier stating "usually" they don't pre-drill holes. Usually? All of my other shutters over the last two years were pre-drilled. I was then told it was my fault because this order was a single panel shutter vs all my previous orders being dual shutters and I would have to pay to get replacement strips with pre-drilled holes in them. What does a single vs a dual shutter have to do with whether or not holes are drilled in hanging and blocking strips?"
