He explained it would never need maintenance (as, of course, wood does), and all I'd ever have to do is just hose it down. He explained what he would be doing and looked into a couple of other issues I asked about, including the springs. He advised that the springs weren't up to snuff, and since I know they're 20 years old, that didn't surprise me.
