"We removed a fiberglass swimming pool shell because it had floated up, leaving a huge hole surrounded by the concrete walkway - dangerous!  We got quotes to fill the hole and leave the patio, but they were outrageous - $7-8000!. We decided to go ahead and remove the patio and found Essie's Bobcat here on Angie's list. Jeremiah gave us a quote for removing the walkway and suggested using it to fill the bottom of the hole and save the cost of that much fill dirt - and even better, the quote was so reasonable! Jeremiah and his crew came over on the scheduled day and proceeded to remove the patio.  And then, with the bobcat.  they moved the existing soil from our yard all around and was able to completely fill the pool hole!! - We were ecstatic!!  He was also able to remove a ton of overgrowth at the back of the property and that made the yard look so HUGE now!  Jeremiah and his crew took our backyard from dangerous a disaster to a big beautiful "lot of potential".  They're great!"

"I turned to Angie’s List to find someone to do some excavation work & leveling for an above ground swimming pool. We purchased our pool in April and reached out to at least a dozen or more companies and they were all either no shows or no response (even after providing us with a quote). It has been beyond frustrating because it was now July and no pool!! So I called Daylon with Giddens & Assoc and immediately got a response back. He came out that same day to look at our property and go over the project. He spent well over an hour discussing our plans & ideas for the project and provided us with a quote by that same evening. We we’re very impressed with him and his enthusiasm for his work so we scheduled a date and a week later he and his crew showed up and knocked it out. He’s personable, punctual, responsive, knowledgeable, and dependable. He does exactly what he says he’s going to do, period! This could have been a horrible review but something happened to change my mind. Last year I had an estimate from Abry Brothers to lift and stabilize the foundation on one corner of my rental house.  There were step cracks in the brick, cracks in the interior sheetrock and windows that were stuck on that side of the house.  Estimate was in line with other companies.  Did a little research and decided on Abry Brothers because of how long they have been in business, my real estate agent recommended either them or U.S.S., and we really felt confident in the opinion of the supervisor who gave the estimate. His name was Keris.  He seemed very knowledgeable and earned our trust. I finally called to schedule an appointment.  Work was scheduled to put five piers in the back corner of the house.  Workers showed up on time and they put the piers.  They did not, however, back fill the soil that was removed or fix the cracks in the brick mortar.  We were told by Rudy Bautista, the crew supervisor, that the piers had to settle and they would have to come back to complete the work.  While they were there Rudy spoke to me about renting the house, an agreement was reached on the rental, he signed a lease and moved in.  In the meantime, I asked him several times about completing the work.  He always promised to do it within the next few days but it never happened. Finally after two months I told him that even though he was my tenant, I was going to call Abry Brothers headquarters and complain if the work wasn't completed by the next weekend.  It was never done so I called Abry Brothers to make a complaint.  To my surprise, they told me that Rudy had been fired weeks ago.  He was still driving an Abry Brothers car so I had no indication that he had lost his job. Eventually I had to have him evicted.  I made another appointment for Abry Brothers to come up to inspect and complete the work.  This time Keris came.  They discovered that only four, not five piers were put in but the house had no further sinking.  They put in the fifth pier, back filled the soil around the area and fixed the cracks in the mortar. It took a long time to get the work completed because of a dishonest employee but they remedied that problem and fired him. Keris and the crew that he brought to finally complete the project were wonderful.  They did a great job and I am finally confident that the work was done correctly.  The house looks great.  Thank you Abry Brothers, and especially Keris, for making things right.

"Miguel was prompt and kept in good communication.  He worked with me to verify type of gravel used as the base, and assisted with installation of an improved vapor barrier I supplied myself, (two layers of Tu Tuf #4 and form sides consisting of Foamular 150 glued to the concrete permimeter beam in the garage).  Concrete pour of 5 inches of #4-reinforced 4000-psi concrete when very well, sloping 2 inches from back to front, and smoothed nicely by his team throughout the afternoon into early evening.  Highly recommend M & T Concrete, will ask them back for the rest of the driveway.

"Ramon was great to work with from beginning to end.  His crew did a great job and were courteous, clean and thorough with the job that they did.  They provided an estimated time of completion and had another job that was running over that made our timeline uncertain.  Ramon saw to it that he get the job completed when he said and coordinated getting it done while they were finishing the other job that they had.  The quality of their work is fantastic as well.  It was very apparent that they are experts at what they do."

"Everything went perfectly. Cliff called me within 2 days and set up a time to come out. He called a half hour before our appointment to let me know he was on his way. He showed up on time and got to work. He politely and patiently indulged me with all the questions I had for him and talked me through what we were looking at as I stood over his shoulder as he scoped the sewer line. He even moved the camera to a second clean-out and scoped the other side of the house. He summed up what he saw, and gave me his opinion and possible future scenarios based on the condition of my sewer lines. He even cleaned out another line for me while he was there that was not part of the original work order. Cliff / Morgan Leak Detection was great to do business with.
