"I called Oscar to install a whole house surge protector I had purchased online. He was able to install the device the next day. I had all the parts. Oscar had to cut a hole in the drywall and drill a hole thru the stud and into the panel ( not an easy job). Part of the problem was a full breaker panel, Oscar had to move 2 breakers to a sub-panel to make room for the new 50 amp breaker the surge protector needed. Oscar worked two hours to get the job done. He did a good job at a fair price, I would use him again. He installed my CUTLER HAMMER EATON CHSPT2 ULTRA WHOLE HOUSE BEST SURGE PROTECTOR."

"Two guys came and took care of a small project in 30 minutes to an hour. He also said, "What else can I do for you?" I asked him a couple of questions and he said, "Oh, we can do that." So he did some other things that were small, but needed to be done with. He did those and then he said, "Well what else can we do for you?" That was all I could think of. There were two guys. I thought it would be one guy for two hours, but it was two guys that were there a little over an hour. I got done what needed to be done, so I was very pleased. He said, "If you need anything call us back." I didn't have to pay anything more. I had a shelf that was falling in the garage. They did the brace that had broken. So they had to take a lot of heavy boxes off and they replaced that brace and then they also did some other braces to support it. That was actually what I called them out for and they took care of that. The ladder to the garage came down on top of a board that my husband had put there to raise the car up so that it would clear this kerb he had put in. He put in a kerb so that you would know where to stop the car. Then the car couldn't clear the kerb, so he put a board in to raise the car up to clear the kerb. That meant the ladder that came down out of the attic hit that board. My grandson had questioned the strength of the ladder. I had them take out the ladder. It's only good for 200 lbs. That is why a heavy guy might have an issue with it. It wouldn't fit right because of that board. The guy sad, "Well your ladder is fine," and they cut a little square out of the board so that the ladder could go all the way down."

"As requested, I was called when in route to my home. They arrived on time as scheduled. The two man team surveyed the work and stated the job was smaller than usual. Their panel truck had a partially removed sign that was not legible. The team lead asked if I wanted the additional service to sanitize and deodorize the ducts (add $149). I rejected the offer. They were working quickly and I became worried they would break something or damage my home. The attic H/AC unit was inspected and deemed dirty and cleaning would be additional; I turned down the offer. The replacement of the grates required some adjustments as the screws were angled crimped the metal frame. I would recommend that the company send a letter in advance of the cleaning to recommend putting away breakables and detailing the process and offering additional services."

"We purchased a big deal for the solar attic fan.  They came out quickly, did a great job, and were very friendly.  We ended up paying a little more and going with a larger fan due to our attic size but we could not be any happier with the amount of electricity we've saved.

"Chris called the morning of the appointment, and again when he was enroute.  He showed up when he said he would and didn't mind when my dogs jumped all over him.   He advised the best place to install the lights and got right to it.   The dimmer switch he was going to install ended up being bad, and he said he would be out with a new one that Friday and that it wouldn't take more than 10 minutes.  He called on Friday when he was enroute, showed up on time, and 10 minutes later he was gone!!!  I'm really happy with my new lighting and will definitely ring him for my future electrical needs!

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Rosston, TX

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
