"I originally bought a new microwave at Home Depot. When the installers arrived at my house, they found that the space I had for the installation was 1 inch too short for the microwave I had purchased, so they said could not install the oven. I returned it (and as of today, am still waiting for my payment to be refunded, a week later). The problem is that the area behind my stove is tiled so the OTR microwave had to fit exactly into the space I have. When I explained that to the salesperson at Home Depot when I returned there to buy a replacement oven, he said he had never heard of tile being installed behind a range before. Huh?
After exhaustive internet research and consultation with friends to figure out how to get the right sized microwave, I knew I’d have to go to real professionals. I found Sterling Appliance here on Angie’s List, and they’re right down the road from where I live. When I walked into the store and told the salesman that I had to fit the oven into a very precise space, his first comment was “Oh, you must have tile behind your range.” Bingo, I knew I was in the right place. Not only was I able to buy a high quality GE microwave that was a and frac12; inch too big for my space (instead of the low quality Sharp oven which was the only make/model available in the exact size I needed), but Sterling also said they would do a custom-install, at no additional cost, using a shim to fit the oven into the space I had available for it. Double bingo.
The installation crew showed up exactly on time. The oven they brought with them was damaged; the door was broken. Back to the warehouse for a new one, and a couple of hours later, I had the new microwave installed above my range.
And for reference, what I found is that there is little variation from store to store on the price of the ovens themselves (yes, there’
some, but I found it to be a non-factor in deciding). What really varies from place to place are the installation costs. So for the benefit of other Angie's List aficionados, here’s what I found:
Home Depot: $80 installation fee
Lowes: $130 installation fee
Sears: $180 installation fee
And Sterling Appliance? $120 installation fee. Great deal, highly recommend this place!

"I have a ge refrigerator that was not cooling .I called this company in the morning after I did an internet search and based on their reviews .the dispatcher was nice over the phone and was able to give the same day appointment (between 1-4pm) sure enough around 2pm I received a call from the tech saying that he is on the way.. every thing is good so far.it took him 10 mn (wow) and he figured that I have a defective main electronic board .he checked his truck and luckily he had the part in stock ..he replaced the part for me and cleaned my coils (free) ..the regular price was $365 and I told him about the coupon I had .he applied it and brought the price down to $315.. iam very I am inpressed and I will use them again for any appliance  thank you!!!

"Andy, the owner, arrived when he said he would and gave me an estimate. I had 3 other estimates and went with Airflow based on the price and the unit efficiency. The day of the replacement, the technicians arrived by 8am, removed the old system. They found damage to the shelf that the system would sit on and replaced that as well. They worked efficiently and steadily throughout the day and were complete by early afternoon. It was a sweltering July afternoon, and I was very happy to get the new system, which replaced the 20+ year old unit that was the original unit in the condo. The system that was replaced was still functioning, but was beginning to have issues, so I replaced it before it was completely necessary."

"A guy came with his checklist to go through everything.  He did everything as was committed to per the Angies List deal, but I do wish he was able to have better conversation about why my unit made so much noise, what are the best filters to use, and why he recommended replacing items that were properly running at that point in time.  For example -  he said I should get a new thermostat, I asked why, and he said because its outdated.  And then the conversation about the filters - I wanted to know something about the best one per MERV ratings and he just could not answer or advise whatsover.  Nevertheless, the 59 point inspection was done as agreed to and for that service I am satisfied, but wish either he could've been more experienced or have better conversation about his craft.  I may use them again depending on the service needed.
