Nellessen Construction is an EPA Lead Safe Certified Firm, which means that we are able to test for lead and properly work on structures built before 1978 where lead is present.\nRemember, on structures built before 1978, have to be tested for lead before any work is done. It is illegal for any person to do work on a structure built prior to 1978 that hasn't been tested for lead and if lead is present it is illegal for any person to work on that structure that is not certified by the EPA. $34,000.00 fine for not complying.
