"The technician arrived as scheduled, was courteous, and explained the pricing. Wish I had asked ahead of time on the phone - more expensive than I'd planned. Haven't had electrical repair project in a long time here, so maybe I'm just uninformed, but there was a service call fee ($79), that did not apply to the repair. Planned replacement of the dimmer switch to a chandelier was additional $125 (I had purchased the part thinking we could do it ourselves, but ran into a complication with the wiring in the wall). On top of that, because the new dimmer was part of a 3-way connection, the other switch was examined and found to be broken, so we paid for an additional single switch at a cost of $147 (they supplied the part). Anyway, the lights work, and I'm glad, but $350 seems a little high."
