"We installed a Patio Enclosures sunroom on our home 16 years ago to extend the seasons we could enjoy our patio and to keep mosquitoes and inclement weather at bay. The enclosure has performed well through 16 years, complimenting our home’s aesthetic appeal, and increasing its resale value. Now that we’re building a new home we definitely included a three season enclosure in our plan. It was a pleasure working with Andrew Mulichak in the West Seneca, NY office who helped us design an enclosure to compliment our new home’s appearance and add to its functionality, making it feel like an extension of our home. We look forward to the convenience and functionality the enclosure will add to our new home. And we know we can rely on a quality product with expert installation. We highly recommend Patio Enclosures."

"Overall it went really well. Ed followed up personally with any questions or concerns we had. We had a cabinet that started to detach from the wall 18 months after the job was completed. I called Ed and he came out and told us that he would get it fixed. We had the cabinet people at our house the next day. I would recommend this company to anyone. <br />"

"We've used Kuhn's Home Repair and Air a few times for different things, like changing out light bulbs we couldn't reach and changing fire alarm batteries. They do a good job with basic things like that. Their quality of work with basic home repairs are good. But we thought they could do plumbing work and they do not. They had to take out some tiles in our shower to do some plumbing work. The whole plumbing job was beyond their knowledge, but they did it anyway. We didn't know that what they did was not a good job, until it started leaking. They never told us it wasn't done right or anything. So we had to call in a new plumber and tile person to fix the damage that Kuhn's did. We feel they should have told us that wasn't within their expertise, so I would not use them again. It was also an expensive job."

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Saint George, UT

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
