"Well, day 1 the crew did not get to job site until 3pm.  Worked for a couple of hours and discovered that they were short 4 posts.  Came back on day 2 and put in the rest of the posts and started putting up the boards.  Started raining (light rain) and after a couple of hours they said that they would have to come back the next day because of the rain.  Came back on day 3 and discovered that one of the double gates was short in size. They called the supply house to have another gate made. They did not come on day 4 because apparently the supply house could not get the gate made. Did not hear from anyone on day 4 until I called the owner to ask if they were coming.  That's when I was told that there was a problem with the gate getting made.  Did not get the gate made until day 5 when the owner got back to town and apparently had to make it himself.   The weld on the double gates is poor and they cold galvanize sprayed some of the welds but not all of them.  I will have to do that myself.  They set up on the back porch to do drilling and cutting and left metal shavings on the porch and cigarette butts throughout the yard. Did not recover post holes to cover  the concrete with dirt that was dug out.  They also left a bag of concrete mix here for me to dispose of.  This two day job took five days which caused me to have to postpone things that I had to do so that I could be here.

"Frustrating and unprofessional. Complete lack of communication. Final payment is demand literally when the job is finished, as in that moment, with the promise to come back and fix any problems. And there were problems. The job has taken from March until November to complete. Some of that was due to a lack of materials (it's 2020), but that would not have been an issue if the job had been done right in the first place. The initial team that was sent out was surly, uncommunicative, and almost hostile. They showed up late and left early, and spent a lot of time smoking in our yard. No one with any experience checked their work. They did not know how to build a fence on a slope. The pickets followed the slope of the yard, but the rails did not. They left some sections with more than to two feet at the top with no rail, so pickets had started to warp. It also looked like they ran out of rails. Rails have now been added to reinforce those sections, but it looks like something done by neighbor or family member, not something you'd pay for. The posts were cut off at all different heights, as well. The gates were less than amateurish -- just fence sections with hinges. One pulled off within a few weeks and was hanging by a couple of nails at the top; another was sagging. It took us months to even get a response. It was obvious when he came to check that he had never even looked at the work before. I will say that the woman who came out to reset the posts that were blown down by the tropical storm was amazing. She really knew her stuff. And the new man who does the fences is superb and really takes pride in his work. He came on a Saturday and stayed until the job was done. The fences now have metal frames and actual fence hinges and latches and work beautifully. However, after 8 months of waiting for the fences to be replaced, they wanted the money first thing Monday morning. I told them we would pay when the job was finished, so they showed up with no notice the next day to add the rails, and wanted to be paid immediately."

"Other than a late start the team was focused and knowledgeable. They took great care to cleanly remove the damaged flooring and professionally install the replacement. It should be notes that the old flooring was incorrectly glued, making the task very tedious and difficult. The result is that you can't tell where the repair is without knowing its location. Well done."
