Small jobs welcome

"Jose and his Son Jay helped me with my first house over the holidays. They painted and extended my kitchen cabinets, painted all 3 upstairs bedrooms, caulked, sealed, and painted all my baseboards that had been pulled up when new flooring had been installed, fixed a water stain, painted my accent wall and mantle, and painted most of my downstairs living areas, including the two story entryway. Everything was done to the highest level, on time, and by people who were great to work with. 10/10 recommend."

"Hiring Blue Dawn Painting & Drywall was one of the best decision we made for our renovation! The entire team was professional and their work was excellent! The cost for their services was reasonable. They were willing to work us into their schedule during our unforeseen personal emergency."

"My experience with Angi was very mixed at first. I received five estimates: $23,000, $20,000, $14,000, and two around $12,000. I?m a very detailoriented person, so I asked Jorge why his estimate was $14,000 while others were asking $20,000. He walked me through the entire estimate, line by line, and even shared the full scope of work. He delivered almost exactly what he promised. The material usage matched his estimate, the finishes were excellent, and he specifically promised clean, sharp lines, which he absolutely achieved. My house is large, and they completed the full interior, including the basement, in just 6 days. Thank you, Jorge and team."

"Jack and his brother did a very efficient repair and paint job inside my house. They came on time, were very thorough, put drapes everywhere to protect what needed to be protected, and left no mess. I would highly recommend them."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Salem, UT

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
