"Excellent. Prior to the beginning of the job there were many questions with regard to the liner and the re-build of the chimney stack. John was very thorough in what needed to be done and how it needed to be done so as to not incur any additional cost (headaches). When the time came for the work to be done, John and Miguel showed up on time and went right to work. Within a matter of hours, the chimney liner, exhaust manifolds for the furnaces and hot water heater were all installed - all with no trace of him being there beyond his completed work. John was a consummate professional from beginning to end. If I had another chimney I'd hire him again."

"I have mixed feelings about A&A services. The good: * Windows are top notch and look great, installed quickly, work well 6+ months from installation * They have a carpenter as part of crew so were able to expand the size of our 6 picture windows The bad: * Installation crew was sloppy to the point of damaging our home. They left a 2 foot scratch in our hardwood floor and a large ding in a piece of molding near one of our interior doors. We brought both of these issues to the attention of our sales guy at the final inspection. He accused us of lying about the floor scratch and then said he could fix it as he had done his own floor but it would release toxic fumes and require us to leave the house for days. He then criticized the existing finish on all of our floors. Accidents happen but I know for a fact (because I was home) that the installers were working without putting anything protective on the floor and the over the top and offensive response to our legitimate complaints (scratched floors, chipped molding, overall carelessness) was quite upsetting. * Secondary complaint, they reframed the outside of the new windows with treated pine not hardwood as our usual general contractor would recommend (he weighed in after the fact) so now we have to worry about longevity and insects (carpenter bees, termites) damaging the window frames. Wouldn't be as much of an issue if they hadn't cut corners in this way. So overall, I like the windows a lot but I would never hire this company again because of how they respond to complaints and the corner cutting on wood issue."

"I called for an inspection and consult and the owner just happened to be working on a job in the area.  He came over within an hour or two after my call.  He went over the whole chimney system and advised me on a number of issues and options.  I had done a lot of research on the issues I thought I had, and he confirmed most of my fears, yet provided me with a great deal of information and options.  I feel like the quote was fair, although I cant afford the work YET... "With any pre-1900 house the foundation was built prior to today's popular "Portland" cement mix. The bricks are softer and require a softer cement than the modern Portland mix. Footie was well aware of this and suggested the appropriate mix. The crew showed up on time, covered the ground and plants. They grounded out the mortar without damage to the bricks. They replaced  a few previously damaged bricks, and cleaned the surfaces from old patch jobs. The end result is a clean well pointed attractive foundation. The crew cleaned up thoroughly.
