"I am completely pleased with the job done for me. They knew what they were doing from start to finish. They were very professional and knowledgeable. They replaced my main sewer line from the home to the septic tank. The job was done fast and efficiently. I would definitely recommend 7 Brothers Plumbing for any of your plumbing needs. I will definitely call them the next time I need plumbing work done."

"If you want a true pro to do a bath remodel, this is your company. The owner, Tom, really knows what he is doing. His cabinets are custom made. The materials he uses are top notch. Takes extra care to do things well. It may take him a while but he and his company is worth it. This is the kind of contractor you want in your house."

"Hometown Plumbing installed a tankless water heater for us. He was timely, professional and courteous. He beat the competition on price and deliverables. When we asked him about inspections for the work ha made that happen too without complaint or issue. I highly recommend them for your plumbing needs! Will hire again."

"We used Pro Plumbing twice, once for service and a second time to replace my water heater. Both times they were prompt and professional. The service fee for just coming out to troubleshoot was inexpensive, which was greatly appreciated. For the installation of my water heater, their rates were competitive with other plumbers in the area. The service tech (Fletcher) was knowledgeable and explained everything in detailed. He was also patient while I asked him loads of questions, and he offered me lots of options for units and how he could install them to fit our tight closet. Everything seems to be working great (it has been about 6 weeks)! I would definitely hire them again."

"The gentleman did a fantastic job installing a new hot water heater and kitchen sink faucet. They even fixed a leak that I have had under the sink for a couple years. Would definitely use these guys again for any plumbing issues. Priced well and very professional"

""Bundling" a review for 3 jobs from January 2016 through March 2017. After a neighbor recommended another plumber to address a few minor problems, we found McCoy and are glad we did. While our "recommended" plumber indicated our low pressure was due to issues with our water supply line (since our PRV was open all the way), McCoy correctly diagnosed the problem as just the opposite - the valve was fully CLOSED. Our McCoy tech adjusted our pressure to increase flow while minimizing pipe noise in conjunction with a swap of three builder Delta showerheads for new Speakman heads. Late last year, Josh installed a new condensate drain through a wall in a bonus room to our vent stack to accommodate permanent installation of a dehumidifier. Scott (the owner) provided the quote and was involved in the design, and the solution is working perfectly 6 months later. Keep in mind that you are paying for high-quality, well-trained plumbers, so a service call to clear slow drains may not be the best use of their time or your $! In retrospect, $155 to clear two slow drains was a job better suited to my own or a handyman's abilities and pay scale!"

"It started with a call to Allison in the morning to see if they had a technician available as our guest bathroom toilet appeared backed up and we had guests coming later in the day for the weekend. Allison took the information and said as they could fit us in today she would call me back. A fee hours later I received a call that a technician (Anthony) was on his way. Anthony arrived and looked at the situation and quickly asked where our waste lift station was. Having lived in the house only two months I had no clue what he was talking about. He said typically for lower elevation bathrooms such as this situation a waste lift system would be used. We walked around and was able to fund the system outside under a shed in the yard. Turned out that the system had not been cleaned out in years and as a result the float was stuck and the pump not properly pumping the water from the toilets. Anthony inspected and cleaned the crock and ensured no issues with the pump and/or float. He got everything working properly and we now have no issues with our lower bathrooms. You cannot go wrong with ER Plumbing!"

"James was responsive, courteous, and professional AND helped us diagnose - free of charge on a follow-up call - an ammonia smell related to our sealed crawlspace completely unrelated to the plumbing.  He even referred us to a new termite / pest / company (whom we have chosen to take over service following our purchase of the home).  He also checked our entire crawlspace for leaks or other issues that might have been missed by our inspector and provided a wealth of information on AAV valves, pressure regulators and anything else I could throw at him.  Perhaps the best part - James (a very experienced plumber) is the owner AND... does the work HIMSELF with a colleague in tow.  Touch 2 O faucets (this is our third in 3 homes in 3 years) can be a bit finicky and this install was completed without a hitch.  If you want the same experienced professional that QUOTES the job to also be the one to COMPLETE it, pick Gentile Plumbing!

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Salisbury, NC

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
