"We recently had Spartan Asphalt take care of crack sealing on our streets, and they did an awesome job. The crew was professional, showed up on time, worked hard, and paid attention to the details. Everything came out clean and looks great. It’s hard to find companies these days that actually care about the quality of their work, but Spartan definitely delivered. We’ll absolutely be using them again for future asphalt maintenance projects."

"Good Samaritan exceeded my expectations. We had a major landscaping upgrade in our backyard that involved multiple retaining walls, soil grading, underground trampoline installation, and sod and irrigation installation. They not only started and finished on time, but the end result was better than anticipated thanks to Fred’s vision and esthetic foresight. The price was fair, and they never tried adjusting the original price, despite a heavier than anticipated underground root system they had to dig out with the excavator. After it was finished, I decided I wanted to add a little more sod to a section of the yard I originally told them not to. Fred had no problem ordering the extra sod for me and delivering it to my house. It was a very positive and professional experience. I will definitely be using Good Samaritan for my future landscaping and outdoor needs."

"Noah responded very quickly to our request. He came out and bid, the work was started in less than a week and we are now the proud owners of a nicely installed exposed aggregate walkway. They removed a previously poorly done flagstone walkway as part of the job. Highly recommend Noah and company!"

FAQs for asphalt paving installation projects in Salt Lake City, UT

With routine care, an asphalt parking lot lasts 20 years. Plan to resurface every 15 years and sealcoat every three to five years, and tackle cracks as soon as they appear. Sticking to this schedule keeps the surface smooth, safe, and code-compliant, helping you get the full life span from your investment.

Installing a parking lot typically takes between two and four weeks, depending on factors such as size and weather conditions. The process includes ordering materials, site preparation, paving, curing time, and adding finish touches like paint striping. Please note that larger projects or unexpected weather delays may extend this timeline. Working with local professionals and suppliers can help keep the project on schedule and potentially reduce costs.

Maintenance depends on the surface you have. For asphalt, sealcoat every few years, resurface every 15 to 20 years, and patch potholes right away. Concrete lots require regular cleaning, inspections, and occasional patching. Whatever the material, create a maintenance calendar—and follow it—to keep the lot safe, attractive, and less expensive to own.

Apply a fresh sealcoat every two to five years, or sooner if heavy traffic fades the surface. Sealcoating fills hairline cracks, locks out moisture, and renews that deep black finish drivers recognize. Staying on schedule extends the pavement’s life and helps you avoid costly repairs down the road.

Professional sealcoating costs $0.15 to $0.30 per square foot, with rates influenced by lot size, local labor costs, and the type of sealer used. While you can rent sprayers, hiring a crew delivers even coverage, proper curing, and a warranty—advantages that protect both your pavement and your budget.
