"This regards a huge repair job after a pipe burst in our rental condo. It did happen a couple of years ago (December 2014) but it remains in my memory as a truly positive experience. The water destroyed the drywall in several rooms. We contacted Gary through Home Asvisor Handyman for the repairs. He contacted us soon after. When he arrived little did he know we actually had several projects that we needed done so we could sell the condo. Gary listened to our needs and then organized how the projects would be completed. The projects included the drywall repair for the living room, dining room, repair of the pipe that burst, added an access door to the plumbing area where the busted pipe occurred, installed tile flooring in the kitchen, replaced all the cabinets in the kitchen, installed a new kitchen light fixture, organized the replacement of the counter tops, reorganized the kitchen plan so the refrigerator and stove were not side by side, installed a new kitchen faucet and fixed the faucet after a couple of weeks when the interior piece was found to be defective, remodeled th entire bathroom tiling on the floor and walls, installed a new tub and fixtures, replaced the entry door and screen door, replaced all the interior doors, painted the entire place, fixed a longstanding problem for two side by side 8 foot windows by removing them and repairing the woodwork as well as refininshing the walls afterwards (in the middle of winter!--impressive). He helped us make decisions and worked with whatever selections we made in such a timely manner. He was in contact with us throughout the projects and provided us all the receipts, estimates, and final costs for each project that he undertook. He even would send picures as the projects progressed or were completed. He was so easy to work with and we appreciated him and hos work immensely! "The best thing about Nail It Down is that they are very responsive. I learned about their company at a local business fair and talked to them about my roofing needs on my garage. We talked a little bit and I got their contact information. The staff I met were very friendly. A few days later, I called the company to schedule a free quote. They called me back quickly and we arranged a time for them to come out and give us an estimate. They were on time and gave us a fair quote. I had two other local roofing companies provide quotes as well. One took a week to call me back and then their quote was twice as much. The other company came out to inspect the work that needed to be done and then they never followed up! I signed the contract with Nail It Down and they came out to work on my roof the next day! They brought out around six guys, worked quickly, and finished in just two days. They had to install new roofing due to wood rot and install new gutters. "AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
