"Eduardo installed all our new kitchen cabinets in less than two days. He did an extremely good job and got all the cabinets to fit perfectly in our 105-year-old house. We're very happy with the workmanship and very nice guy to talk with about any installation issues. We will have him come back to install another set of cabinets in our remodeled dining room."

"I had a great customer experience. Nazario was punctual, completed the job in the time that was promised, very reasonably priced, very friendly, clean, and efficient. He installed wood trim around three windows and a sliding door, caulked and covered all nails and now it's ready for paint. It was a pleasure to work with this contractor, and I would definitely use them again. He cleaned and vacuumed up all areas where work was done, including outside where he set up a canopy to prepare all needed materials, despite the rain and cold weather. FIVE STARS for quality workmanship, friendliness, efficiency, punctuality, and most of all, good pricing. I highly recommend!!"

"We had a fairly large whole house remodel done by Interactive Remodeling. This included major kitchen and bathroom remodeling (pretty much replaced everything), replace entire downstairs flooring and updates to staircase. It also required repainting the whole house, replace all interior doors (11 of them), add recessed lighting and new island. Overall it was a huge project. I started getting quotes initially and sent out pictures/scope documents, Kam came fully prepared when he visited the house for in-person estimate. He actually reviewed the pictures I sent and also had new ideas on what else we can improve. This pretty much convinced us that we are in good hands and we signed the contract. This is the first time we attempted something like this and Kam was there to guide us on everything. He would immediately mention if something looked off in our plan and it saved us lots of time on the project. He also gave ideas on brands and places to look into for sourcing materials, this was very helpful for folks like us who aren't very aware of the construction details. Once we started, Kam and Hamid were consistently on time and work output from both of them is easily equivalent to 4 others working. They were very very fast and more importantly very consistent, with great attention to detail. I haven't even mentioned the most important bit, our baby was 2 months old when we began this project so you can imagine we were pretty busy. Because of this we were very hands off with project. Kam ensured project proceeded in a timely manner. After seeing their hard work initially, I knew I could trust him on the project. There were times where I didn't visit the site for weeks but work kept moving along. In the end he delivered the project pretty much on time, considering the fact that as new parents we were always behind in finalizing materials and encountered numerous shipping delays on bathroom/kitchen fixtures. I have also found them to be very flexible during the project. As an example, I mentioned a specific layout for recessed lights in our living room. Due to our schedule, we couldn't visit the house when they were installed and they continued making progress on other parts of the project. Later when we visited, we realized that we may have put too many lights and wanted some of them removed. Kam had no issues in going back and removing the lights, even if that meant he had to repeat some of the work he did on ceiling and walls. His only concern was that we should be happy with the project at the end of the day. I don't know how many times we thought during the project that we couldn't have found a better contractor. Kam and Hamid were absolute professionals and we're very glad to work with them. We have been living in the house for about 3 months and we love the way everything turned out. He was available to take our calls even after finishing the project if we needed anything. We worked with them again to replace our windows. I can recommend Kam and Hamid for any remodeling project without any reservations, if you want to deal with someone who is friendly, knowledgeable and does quality work, then look no further!"

"We definitely made the right decision hiring Byron for the installation of baseboard throughout our condo. From first meeting to last goodbye everything went very smoothly. Byron was a pleasure to work with, paid great attention to detail and did a great job."

"I had trim and baseboards installed throughout my house. It was very easy to schedule the estimate and the work. I normally do most of my own home improvement tasks, but due to time constraints and motivation it was not realistic to do it myself. Delightful Dan and his helper were very great to work with, did the entire house in 4 days, and did not need to be micromanaged at all. We would do a quick walk through each time they had questions, but that’s all they needed. This was a stress free exchange on my end. I’m very happy with the workmanship. I will absolutely be using this company again."

"Denis was very responsive to communication regarding the job of repairing dry rot in structure supports. The job was done quickly, on schedule, and the area they repaired looks great even though they had to take off siding and remove an exterior door to get to the repair. I would definitely hire them again!"

FAQs for interior trim and decorative moldings installation projects in Sammamish, WA

Installing crown molding can be challenging, depending on the material and your skill level. Lightweight materials like polystyrene and softwoods are easier for homeowners to install themselves, offering a cost-saving option. However, heavier materials like hardwoods and plaster are difficult to work with and require professional installation to achieve a high-quality result. Precision is crucial in measuring, cutting, and fitting crown molding, so hiring a professional ensures the best outcome.

Crown molding is available at various price points, ranging from $1 to $30 per linear foot, depending on the material. This wide range offers options for every budget. Affordable materials like MDF, PVC, and polystyrene provide cost-effective solutions, while premium materials like exotic hardwoods or metal offer a luxurious appearance at a higher cost. Regardless of your budget, you can find crown molding that enhances your home's aesthetic.

Crown molding is installed by professional finish carpenters or painters who specialize in detailed trim work. These experts possess the necessary skills and tools to ensure precise measurements, accurate cuts, and seamless installation. By hiring a professional, you can achieve a flawless finish that enhances your home's aesthetic appeal without the risk of common DIY mistakes.

Crown molding can be installed in various areas of your house to add elegance and architectural interest. It is commonly used where walls meet the ceiling, but you can also place crown molding around doors, windows, mirrors, and atop cabinets. Installing crown molding in these locations enhances visual appeal, creates a cohesive design, and adds a touch of sophistication to your home's interior.

To determine how much crown molding to purchase, start by measuring the length of each wall where you plan to install crown molding and add the measurements together to determine the total linear feet required. Purchase an extra 10% of material to account for waste from cutting angles and to ensure seamless joints by using full-length pieces when possible. Including additional material helps avoid shortages and ensures a smooth installation process.

For a professional crown molding installer, this task takes about 1 to 3 hours per room, depending on size and complexity. Factors like the material, design intricacy, and number of corners can affect the time. If you're doing it yourself, expect it to take longer as you get the hang of measuring and cutting precise angles. Advanced measuring and planning or hiring a pro can help the project go smoothly.
