Customers say: Quick response

"This contractor was able to pour the concrete slabs for me as well as build a 30 x 26’ garage. Everything was to our standards and took time, but it came out great matching her house. The entire crew and management was very respectful and kind. I plan on using them again in the future for my future projects, pouring concrete and gazebo patio build. "

"My wife and I wanted to extend our driveway and redo our concrete steps to our home. We hired Jordy's Construction as their price was very reasonable compared to others. I must say that I was very impressed with Jordy and her work ethic, professionalism, and friendliness. She keeps you well informed and completed the job in a timely manner. I have received many compliments on the from my neighbors and am very satisfied with it. I would recommend Jordy's construction to anyone."

"He was amazing. The man knows his stuff. He got people in here. For instance, I have an extremely long driveway and he made certain that the trucks hauling in the concrete didn't break up the ground. The completed work takes 20 years off the look of the house. It was an old estimate and he honored that plus the percentage off. In addition, some kids had walked through it overnight and he came back to sand out the footprints. He also dug out some sticks on a patio that were 30 years old and fixed up the patio. He watched over it like a mother hen watches her eggs. I offered to write him a great letter of recommendation and he said that he's perfectly content with his reviews on Angie's List."

"The project went GREAT from start to finish! Matt even squeezed in the re-doing of my garage floor the day before he went on vacation. He explained the process in detail and patiently answered my many, many , many questions. (No, not a typo!) It took one day of hard work by Matt and Kane, his co-worker, and the floor was ready to be walked on by 1pm the next day. Matt's price was very competitive, and the finished project almost makes my garage look more expensive than my modest 2 bedroom home. I've already recommended Custom Floor Coatings to 3 friends, and I hope they follow through and call Matt. They won't be sorry and neither will you!"

"The job went great and looks great. I needed the work done to satisfy insurance inspectors. Guyson found an opening in their schedule and pulled us in a week early. Despite one terrifically heavy rain day the crew finished timely. Promptly on the job at 7am and no-nonsense progress until quitting time. The guys were very professional and made sure that the roof not only looked great but cleaned up after themselves each evening and at the end of the job. Office staff very communicative before, during and after job completion. Paperwork quickly sent to qualify for Gulf Power energy rebate. I highly recommend Guyson for your roofing needs."

"Jim has done several small to medium jobs for me over the last 20 years - each was done in an excellent manner. After Irma, Jim did a major rebuild of my home on Summerland... he did an excellent job - the quality of work was excellent. I'm a pretty picky person and Jim not only met my expectations, but exceeded 'em. The final cost came in just about what was estimated. Thanks Jim for the excellent work..."

"I spoke with the office and they provided me an appointment within the same week. The gentleman that came out to give me an estimate was very knowledgeable and answered all the questions and concerns I had. The price of the project was very reasonable. It was so much more affordable than replacing my driveway. The crew was prompt, courteous and answered all the questions I had during the process. It was so amazing to watch! The process only took a few hours and I was able to park on my driveway as soon as they were done. I would highly recommend Poly Lift USA to my friends and neighbors!"

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in San Mateo, FL

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
